Im a relative novice and this is my first review of my 5th cigar. Really tried to take my time with it after reading some articles about enhancing enjoyment and it paid off. First third was lovely and gave me toasted nutty flavours and a hint of vanilla. I paired it with a 12 year old Aberlour which made it quite sweet on my palate in the middle third. I may have been going a bit too slow as it went out just before the band and was quite bitter for the first draw after relighting. Last 3rd was quite grassy with hints of hay and and tangy on the tongue. This has been my favourite so far and gave me 35 minutes of enjoyment.
The products arrived promptly and in pristine condition after ordering.

If you only have time to enjoy a cigar quickly (which is always a shame) then you can't go wrong with these. Smooth taste and well constructed. One of the best small cigars on the market.

Montecristo No. 4 Cigar - 1 Single

Had one of these for the first time tonight and really enjoyed it. Good draw and burn throughout and really nice flavours, already debating a box of 10!

Was ready to give this cigar a screaming five star review as it suits my palate exactly. Creamy, nutty and delicious.
However two thirds in I had to discard it as the final third suddenly turned into hard charcoal and was un-smokable. Ill put it down to poor construction on this single cigar but its a disappointing end to an otherwise beautiful cigar.

First cigars I’d ever tried and just ordered my second batch as I enjoyed them so much, lovely to smoke for 40/50 minutes with a beer in the garden!

Now it’s been a while since I started smoking and have been on the journey with Cgars from day one. On that day I purchased a starter sampler. It had everything you needed and some cigars with the monty no4 one of the figure heads. When I smoked that it had flavour. Nutty, earthy, smooth and noticeably a Montecristo. It started the journey and since then my pallet has developed as has my expectations of a decent smoke.
A lot has changed and as money is not flush given the current climate I thought I’d revisit this former love and it’s fair to say I think this is one that hasn’t stood the test of time.
I know this is a very popular cigar and so I wonder if that’s effected things. It was also less half the price when I first started so that maybe effecting my judgement but as other reviewers have said, my one didn’t really hit me with anything of note. It’s not unpleasant and should be a go to for beginners but others in the brand simply offer more. It may be a bad batch but I’d pay £3 more and take a Petit Edmundo over this any time.
