Montecristo No. 2 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 08 August, 2020
Writing this review whilst smoking the last of 3 since the lockdown. Its settled down after the light. The burn hasnt been prefect but nothing that didnt self correct, slowing down helped I think and its also let the coffee cool down too. Its one of those scorching hot days weve been having so I wasnt that sure a hot coffee and a cigar were called for. Silly. Its a no2 and it smokes cool with a light smoke and smooth but certain draw. The cedar, pepper, spice are all perfectly balanced with no one aroma overpowering the others. Its hard to know where the coffee ends and the cigar starts. The garden pairties are tuned out of focus and there is relaxation.

Montecristo No. 5 Cigar - 1 Single

Very disappointed with this one, but its a learning curve to a new smoker. The draw on this was FAR too tight to get any flavour profiles, occasionally I had a hint of what it had to offer, but unfortunately this was marred by the tightness and lack of smoke. This was a real shame, especially for 11 pounds, as the little hints of flavour were very enjoyable. But at least I know to avoid it in the future.

Montecristo Open J Cigar - 1 Single

Quite mild and smooth with subtle flavours consistent throughout. An enjoyable 30-35 minute afternoon smoke that was perfectly paired with a cup of El Salvador light roast ground coffee.

Really disappointed and embarrassed to give this to my friend for his birthday to fall apart and barely able to take a decent draw Am hoping this is just a one off but puts me off ordering another

My Father Flor De Las Antillas - Toro Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 09 July, 2020
I just finished this. I think I messed up the toasting when I lit it as I really didn’t enjoy the first 10 mins buy the 2nd third and last third were truly outstanding. Nuts, cedar, a hint of pepper and I also got some aged tobacco notes that remind me of a damp basement! That might sound weird but that is what the patrons always taste like and I love it! Not quite as nice as the le bijou 1922 but certainly only a tick below. Still a 5 star smoke and better than most sticks you can get in the uk for under £20

My Father Le Bijou 1922 Torpedo Box Pressed Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Wednesday 08 July, 2020
Top 5 all time favourite smoke. The scent is pure cigar perfume, the draw exceptional, the construction is perfection. I have smoked 2 of these, one walking through the woods, one at home. The enjoyment was a 98/100 in the woods, 100/100 at home, sat in the back garden, no noise, no distraction. It might sound silly, but a truly amazing cigar makes me feel like I have gone through a renewal of sorts. Enjoying the changing flavours that speak to you as if telling you a story. It’s a zen like experience. For £25 that is a bargain. Buy a few and when you are stressed and need to relax, switch your phone off, sit in the sun and light one of these up and you will feel brand new.
