Wow what a smoke. I have only been smoking cigars for around 12 months. I ve have sampled a tried many of cuba’s finest over the last year and have fallen for Hoyo de Monterrey epicure no2 and cohiba robustos. I decided to try this Alec Bradley as it was listed on the site in the recommended or special list. I have to say this was a fantastic smoke. The build, draw and burn were sublime. Part of me is against writing this review as I want this rare undiscovered gem to remain a secret so I can fill my humidor come pay day but I can’t you need to try this cigar. I paired it with an un chillfiltered bottle of edradour and wow what a combo. I am regretting only buying one to sample now as it was over too quickly. Hands down one of the best value for money cigars I have had to date

Too strong for my mild palate. Wonderful packaging, disappointing smoke. Connoisseurs may feel differently.

Beautiful, smoked perfectly the whole way and was very present. Lasted me just over 20 minutes.

It is an impressive cigar to hold in ones hand and provides over an hour of satisfying flavors. However, coming with the high pedigree of being 2011s best, this smoker was left a bit underwhelmed.
It burnt well but the presence of peppery, woody notes carried on uninterrupted throughout the entirety of my experience never evolving into anything more nuanced. There is nothing wrong with sticking to a chosen profile and executing it well but perhaps the reputation of this particular stick somewhat ruined the joy of smoking it. Still, with its medium to high strength and grounded, strong flavors it does leave you pleasantly lightheaded and is certainly satisfying.

I'm just getting into pipes and this is only the second pipe tobacco that I've tried. I bought a range to see the style that I would like and this was the only aromatic that was in my order. The scent is very strong; the cherry and vanilla pack an absolute punch to the nostrils, they are certainly not subtle. It is reminiscent in fragrance to a Bakewell Tart. Upon lighting up these continue through to the taste, they are certainly pretty flavoursome in the mouth with the vanilla becoming a bit more dominant and the cherry, whilst still there, taking a back seat. As Callum said in his review, this is sweet, very sweet indeed. The closest thing that I could compare it to in terms of cigars was an American stick that I was given as a present a few years ago that had honey flavoured tobacco. If I'm being honest it became a bit sickly and I was looking forward to it finishing. However I also made a major mistake as towards the end; I realised that my puffing may have been a bit on the quick side and it gave quite a bit of bight in the back of the throat, which surprised me given how sweet
