Chinchalero Culebra - 3 Cigars Twist

I bought a box of these and was impressed with the rustic vibe of them. The tobacco leaf stems binding the 3 cigars together, and the tobacco leaf packaging were a nice touch and right up my street - I dont do posh !!
I found them to be a nice tasting smoke, and I admit that I had some reservations as to how the shape of them would affect their burn, however, I neednt have worried though as they all burnt fairly slowly and evenly.
I found it interesting when reading about these cigars. Im almost certain that Culebra means Snake in Spanish, and from what I read, these cigars are deliberately made in this fashion because they were given to the tobacco farmers / cigar makers, some of who would sometimes help themselves to the cigars meant for exporting. By giving the workers the twisted Culebras, the bosses etc of the cigar farms could identify anybody who was smoking any cigars that they shouldnt be.
All in all, I liked them and would recommend them to anybody and I would also buy them again.

Initially harsh and bitter but soon settled down. The first third was like no other cigar I have smoked and had hints of Cuba about it. The second third was like a Montecristo Puritos at full tilt - quite strong. Final third was the usual spice at the end of most cigars. The draw was easy and the burn good. At this price point its an OK cigar but for me its just too brash and I probably wouldnt buy another one.

Nicely presented good looking cigar. Construction was good as was the draw and the burn. Unfortunately this cigar just wasnt to my liking - its way too earthy and the other detected flavours faded too soon making the cigar unbalanced. Sadly didnt detect any spicy coffee either. This was my third Quorum and they have all been either horrid or very disappointing. As budget cigars go I feel theres better out there. Feel other reviewers ratings are somewhat generous. Not recommended.

H. Upmann Majestic Cigar - 1 Single

Initially flavour was modest with an evenish burn and nice draw. Later on the flavour increased and I detected some pepper and slight nuttyness. As the cigar progressed the nuttyness became more distinct and to me was like KP dry roasted peanuts - very nice. This continued until the the nuttyness faded into the usual spicy mush you get at the end of cigars. Even then I detected the ocassional herby note. Overall this cigar was not what I was expecting. It wasnt as Cuban as other Cubans Ive smoked but due to the very authentic nuttyness just as enjoyable. Considering price and the enjoyment factor its a cigar I can recommend.

Im very new to cigar smoking so I am sampling lots of different varietys at the moment but I have to say I am very disappointed with the quality of this one I am buying 2 at a time when I decide on a cigar to try so to give it a fair chance both of these split down the binder and the wrapper straight after lihghting which resulted in a uneven but and a very hard draw I know these arent a top quality premium cigar but I expected better unfortunately after about half way through each one I have up on them.

Im writing this review whilst enjoying this delightful cigar and I must say, its absolutely stunning. First of all, the packaging is very unorthodox yet its sublime. The taste is rather spicy yet pleasant and the burn is perfect. It burns very evenly with a good ash and easily lasts 45 minutes - 1 hour. Highly recommended!
