A very interesting release! Funky and tropical flavour profile retaining the classic Ardbeg character. Pineapple and ripe banana aromas, woodsmoke and cocoa with hints of cinnamon on the nose. Freshly ground black pepper notes on the palate, ginger spices, dark chocolate and an underlay of tropical sweetness. Intense smoke on the finish.

Silky and buttery, once you approach this dram you notice the smoke and sea salt aromas opening up to a citrusy sweetness. Pepper notes with lingering toffee, more peatiness and cinnamon sugar finish. Bright and punchy character.

Ardbeg 10 Year Old - 46% 70cl

A classic Islay dram. I really enjoy the light and smoky character this scotch has. Powerful flavours develop on the palate; salt, bold smoke, honey and tropical fruit notes. Lingering coastal notes and heavy peatiness on the finish. Definitely not for the faint-hearted, but a good place to start for anyone that enjoys heavily peated malts.

Treated myself to this beauty - yes, it’s expensive and no I probably could do without - but it so looks and feels the part. Superb design. Smooth and seemingly faultless mechanisms ensure a clean straight cut every time and manages the ‘V’ cut with ease. Job done!

Nikka Coffey Gin - 47% 70cl

Oh WOW, this is a crazy good gin!!! More than I usually spend on a gin, but now I know what amazing gin can be. Love all the other Nikka bottlings i have had, so needed to try this. Unlike any gin I’ve had before, must be the Japanese botanicals. Extremely refreshing.

Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique - 70cl 56.3%

Got a bottle of this delivered super quick! I’ve only had 1 other kavalan before this and thought why not take a gamble with this one. So happy I did, definitely paid off. It is quite a light whisky, but works super well after a heavy meal. Light, but not without character. Refreshing fruitiness comes through with the oaky-ness keeping it grounded.
