Corn Cob Legend 690 6mm Filter Bent Pipe
Date Added: Wednesday 06 May, 2020
I was very favourably impressed with this inexpensive pipe. I must admit that, in my skinflint way, I bought it with the idea of smoking my cigar stubs. In this office it performed beautifully, although Ive yet to try it with proper tobacco. It draws easily and smokes straight through without re-lighting. In my previous flirtation, twenty years ago, with considerably more expensive pipes, I found the bowl became too hot to hold. The bowl of this pipe assumes only a comforting warmth. A great little pipe at the price.

Davidoff Winston Churchill The Late Hour Robusto Cigar - 1 Singl
Date Added: Wednesday 06 May, 2020
Great cigar. Very smooth throughout notes of whisky and nutmeg in the first 3rd opens up in the last two thirds with peppery notes alongside dark chovolste. Good draw throughout taking just under an hour to smoke. Burnt very evenly too. Highly recommended.

La Invicta Nicaraguan Petit Corona Cigar - 1 Single

Not a fan of this, haven’t bought a bad cigar from Cgars yet but I wouldn’t recommend this one. If you want a very similar cigar I would purchase a conquistador petit corona. Much better draw and a really nice taste.

Chinchalero Novillo Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 05 May, 2020
Really disappointed with this one. The cigar was very promising upon lighting, very peppery, lots of smoke. However within a couple of minutes the outer leaf had completely split all the way down the stick, making it completely unsmokable. I would not buy this stick again for that reason. I was expecting more after smoking the Fuerte Maduro yesterday and really enjoying it.

Plasencia Alma Fuerte Robusto I Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 05 May, 2020
An enjoyable robusto. Very dark flavours of wood, earth, cocoa powder, burnt leather and black pepper. A very slight hint of cream came and went. Not quite to my taste and I found the flavours overall a little dry and boring, though nothing bad or harsh. I prefer the Alma del Fuego, particularly the Flama, myself as it seems to have a little more liveliness and character.

Davidoff Aniversario Special R Tubos Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 05 May, 2020
Far from special. I realised Id only tried these once before many years ago, so thought I should give them another go. Excellent construction, perfect condition and moisture content, sickly pale wrapper with a hint of bloom and simply very little flavour. The first inch was almost tasteless, despite my palate being very fresh and lively. Not a hint of any bad flavours or harshness at all. The middle third improved a bit with very subtle hay, cream, pepper and doughy qualities with a trace of citrus. The final third started becoming hot and losing what little flavour it had very quickly. The finish was extremely light and short, leaving a taste of dry paper in the mouth. It was like smoking the ghost of a once great cigar, just nothing there now. You would do far far better, along these lines, to get an El Rey del Mundo Choix Supreme or Padrón Dámaso, which are, in my opinion, vastly superior light cigars with far more to them.
