Blackbird Rook Corona Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 12 June, 2025
Nice cigar and paired nicely with a wine makers Rioja. Hints of leather and pepper and a woody overtone. Lots of creamy smoke. Only downside was it kept going out and an uneven burn and had to re-light a few times. I V cut this and did not have to do anything else to it. 4 out of 5 for me and good for the price.

Quorum Shade Grown Corona Cigar - 1 Single

For a budget cigar this was very good. Starts off very smooth. Vanilla, creamy and nutty. Turns slightly bitter and darker as you progress through the second and third part of the cigar. Slightly spicy through the retro hale. Wrapper fell apart the last 3rd but didnt effect the smoking experience. Would definitely recommend for a beginner. Would definitely buy again at the price. Lasted an hour.

Regius Orchant Seleccion Peru 2025 Corona Gorda Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 12 June, 2025
I dropped into the St. James's shop this afternoon and having never smoked a pure Peruvian cigar, I thought I would have a seat and try it. The cigar appeared to be well constructed with some vein visible, but over all this did not detract from the visual appeal. Initially the burn was even, but after the first half became uneven and went out a few times. There is a harshness in this cigar that overall makes it not really pleasant.

Oliva Serie O Robusto Cigar - 1 Single

A bit light for my liking, I would say it's a little less than medium. Nice enough flavour and a pretty good even burn. I had really high hopes for this one and was a touch disappointed.

Samuel Gawith Cob Plug Pipe Tobacco Loose

Bought some of this a couple of months ago after already being a big fan of the 1792 flake. It's a very robust and tasty smoke - it doesn't seem as heavy on the Tonquin as the flake, although I guess age and batches might make a difference to an extent. Anyway - if you like your smokes to have a full flavour and fancy the added fun of experimenting with cutting and prepping it yourself, this one is well worth a try. I love it and will definitely be a regular buyer of it henceforth.
