Exceptional cigar from start to finish. From first light right through to the final draw, not a single touch up or re-light needed. Solid white ash, great construction, and beautiful flavour. Sweet, earthy, nutty, with coffee notes in the first and second third, and a lovely Nicaraguan spice in the final third. For a short cigar, the burn time is great, far beyond what i anticipated. A new favourite for me. Highly recommend.

I have had a few of these now and is a lovely cigar for a long smoke as normally lasts at least one hour but can easily last seventy five minutes if smoked slowly
This one smelt lovely on arrival and lit easily despite it's length it was an easy draw with light floral notes and a lovely medium Cuban twang with a slight bit of spice near the end but not too spicy to make it unpleasant. As ever ashed well and was a lovely way to spend a sunny afternoon in the garden

Received this as my 'mystery cigar' and I'm very glad i did. Lovely sweet nutty flavour to start which grew gently into something a slightly darker and richer as it went on.
Burned perfectly despite sitting outside on a night where there was a bit of a breeze.
If in any doubt, well worth a try, smashing cigar!

This is a great tobacco. Strong and very slow burning. The Tonquin just gives this a nice edge. I left the flakes to dry out on a plate for a few hours before breaking them up and storing in the jar. Experiment for yourself. A really nice smoke. I love strong tobacco. You shouldn’t be afraid of this. It is quite friendly, honest. Just take your time with it ( which you should do anyway) it will reward you. It is very Zen like. I use to alternate this with HH Bold Kentucky, which sadly is no longer available.
The only tobacco to top this , for me is Black Twist.

Kendal Black Twist is my favourite tobacco and has been so for a number of years. I have yet to try Brown Twist but that is next on my list.
This rope tobacco is one that you will either love or hate. The problem for me is that every other tobacco now seems less, because there is nothing else quite like it. Pure old fashioned tobacco that has been around in this form for a hundred years or so. I think that the Brown Twist will of course be along the same lines, but a tad stronger.
This is the first time that I’ve tried the ready sliced.
It is the same tobacco, just on a more convenient form. However strangely the flavour profile is slightly different! It could be that the pre sliced has a lower moisture content? Very easy to pack and light.
Every pipe smoker should try this at least once. You could love it. Buy a sample pack and see for yourself.

This is an absolute beauty. For the price and a relatively quick smoke. This feels like a way more expensive cigar. Creamy, peppery good draw. Smoked well all the way. Well constructed. Will buy again.
