Chinchalero Picadillos Cigar - Box of 24
Date Added: Thursday 21 August, 2008
Firstly, ignore the price. I ordered a box on a whim, unwrapped them all and put them in my humidor. I couldn't resist having one straight away. The wrapper is toffee coloured and flawless. It lit perfectly and the burn was straight and consitant throughout. It is a very mild cigar, coupling perfectly with a cafetiere of freshly ground cuban coffee in the morning. Set aside 30-40 minutes and enjoy. 1st 1/3 was woody, moving to a cocoa and honey sweetness in the 2nd 2 1/3s. Highly recommended and i actually prefer them to the RyJ Short Churchill

I am smoking this cigar accompanied with a nice single malt, now the whisky is great but the cigar is a bit of a let down, first the draw was very bad i had to suck the life out of it to get a half decent amount of smoke, it did burn evenly though and the aroma was a bit harsh and not that pleasant, also this is a very mild cigar (maybe due to the draw) and not to my taste.

Romeo y Julieta Petit Julietas Cigar - 1 Single

Burnt a bit uneven and had a bland aroma, taste went from woody/spicy to woody/earthy, this is a fairly light smoke and i prefer something with a bit more substance to it like R&J Short Churchills. A fairly pleasant smoke but i would not choose to smoke another.

Boy, was I shocked! There is no way that this is a budget cigar. The build quality was 1st class, the flavour (although mild) was excellent and the draw absolutely spot on. A superb smoke from start to (far too soon!) finish! It put me in mind of the Don Ramos Epicure No 19's I used to smoke on a regular basis but gave up on due to inconsistent manufacturing (i.e. splitting, plugged). I think I will need to order some more up soon before you Guys realise the crazy price you sell these at!!
