I bought two of these for me and a friend and we both had the same thoughts on this cigar. It started off well enough. Even burn, nice mild taste and good construction. However it quickly started burning unevenly and turned harsh after half an inch. It also kept going out.
This cigar seems high maintenance and requires constant attention.
I'll probably buy a few more to test however

Montecristo Tubos Cigar - 1 Single

Really enjoyable smoke. Very smooth cigar burns really well and will give you around one and a half hours of good quality smoke. I bought these for my Stag/Wedding day and have been really impressed by them. Went down well with the wedding quests who fancied a Cigar. I will be buying these again.

Chinchalero Chicos Cigar - 1 Single

Well I guess for the money they are ok. But if you are looking at buying a Cigar for the first time they I would not buy these. Mine have been sitting in a Humidor for four weeks, so today I decided to light one up. Harsh is a word to describe the smoke. Burned well but it was not the most enjoyable smoke I've had. The other one I'll pass on to a friend whilst I try a Cohiba Siglo 1. Still have to find a Cigar that matches the Montecristo Tubos. For me I would rather save up and have a few great cigars than buy the cheaper end of the market.

Wow, iv had cuban cigars that taste no where close as good as this, i got lashings of coco and chocolate all the way down in full body, was like having a milk shake, fantastic! Well done oliva, this is now my no1 cigar as yet! Need i say more.

Mild for the first half then it changes to a medium body with nice coffee and coco flavours, burned perfectly with good smoke output and construction. Iv tried some bad cigars at this price and size, happy to say this is a good cigar and worth a try!!

These cigars are my personal favourite. They have a very good construction and are very consistent in their appearance. The simple band is understated and the burgundy theme compliments the 12 year old Madurai wrapper perfectly.
On lighting, there is a profusion of thick creamy white smoke which fills the room in which you smoke this cigar. The flavour is rich and sweet to my palette and gets increasingly spicy as the experience progresses. I am sorry to say that I enjoy this cigar so much I smoke.well past the band and nearly burn my fingers.
An excellent cigar and one to try as an excellent , no, better alternative to the Cuban.
