Montecristo Edmundo Cigar - Box of 25
Date Added: Tuesday 26 January, 2010
I should preface this by saying this is my first review, I am a relatively new to cigars and when I smoked this it was only aged for a few months. The aroma was very nice it looked gorgeous and I was looking forward to a very good cigar; the first inch was a little dissapointing with relatively little flavour however after that it did pick up, there were definetly some floral notes as well as classic monte light leatheriness, however it wasn't really as full as i'd hoped for sucha thick cigar and during the middle there was a brief taste of tannins however this would probably go with aging. I found the draw was too light and you got huge volumes of smoke, which would ahve been good except it didn't give huge flavour there was just lots for no reason and smoking it felt strange. The ash held together for a good two inches before finally succumbing to gravity which suggests a good construction, it was a light to medium grey and looked good. Overall this was a pretty good cigar, however I've found that with cigars I either like an easy cigar not too complicated that I can enjoy wi

This was a fantastic cigar for the price. Very mellow, burnt nice and even with good draw. I dont think you can find better at this price.

A little too bland, but consistent all the way down. Mine seemed to go out continually as well. Not too bad though, didnt leave any offensive tastes in my mouth afterwards

For the price this is a decent smoke. Spicy to start then a little sweetness crept through towards the end. Would buy again for an everyday.

Not bad! But not great either. The roll was a bit soft about an inch from the cap, not good. On lighting though it burnt evenly but due to the softness of the roll smoked very quickly. i expected it to take about 45 mins but i was done after 25! It started off very mellow for the first half but did develop some flavour in the 2nd half. There was no bitterness and towards the end some faint vanillery leather notes did come through. It's ok for a quick daytime smoke, and it's still way better than non cubans but i was a bit disappointed. Shame really as i like the nacionales. i'll probably get a few more though as it has an inoffensive aroma to the non smokers in the household!

Fonseca KDT Cadetes Cigar - Box of 25

whoa! for a little cigar these pack some punch. i had one with my morning coffee and it blew me away. after reading the reviews i was expecting some good flavours, and it delivered. good burn if perhaps a little uneven half way down. the complexity that develops is astounding. It starts similar to a Upmann junior, soft and mellow, but by the end it was similar to a Bolivar Coronas Extra. I don't think i could smoke these all the time but i will definately consider getting a few for when i want that mid morning hit!
