King Edward Imperial Cigar - Pack of 5
Date Added: Wednesday 21 June, 2017
As we know these cigars are machine made. One of the issues I've found over many years of buying them, is occasionally you'll find a bad cigar in a batch. I've noticed this particularly with boxes of 50, but even some packets of five. Some are potholed with tiny holes by the machine, making them useless unless you can cut them down, but some have holes throughout the length of the cigar, meaning it has to be binned. Other than that, it's a very mild smoke and I'll continue to buy them here and overseas.

Davidoff Yamasa Petit Churchill Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Wednesday 21 June, 2017
Davidoff needed 20 years to create the lovely wrappers and binders from the Yamasa region to achieve the dream of Master blender Henke. Everyone told Henke and Davidoff that is impossible to cultivate tobacco in this area but they did.

Yamasa region is a lovely area to cultivate tobacco. Swampy, humid and drenched with regular, heavy rainfall, the soil in the region has a low pH count, but is rich in minerals. These minerals, or micro-nutrients, include boron, iron and zinc, and play an essential role in contributing to the quality of the tobacco leaf. The climate is very similar to the Cuban climate, and therefore hugely beneficial to the growing of tobacco, the Dominican Republic is primarily tropical. There are, of course, local variations in temperature and rainfall but in general, highs of 104°F are common in protected valleys, as are lows of zero in mountainous areas.

This is not the first time that Davidoff used Yamasa Wrapper and binder. They created the Puro D’ Oro range which won awards in 2012. Composed of 100% Dominican tobacco which was the Dream of

Rafael Gonzalez Perlas Cigar - 1 Single

A superb small Cuban hand rolled cigar that cannot be beaten for the price, construction on par with a Monticristo, excellent draw with flavour of a grassy hay starts off relatively mild in the first third rising to medium in the second third then finishing quite strong but never bitter in the last third, Highly recommended for a forty minutes smoke with a good cuban cigar aroma

Oliva Serie G Maduro Robusto Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 16 June, 2017
I enjoyed this cigar, leather was certainly the most prominent flavour for me. In the second third I did get small choc and some coffee. I wish that lasted longer but it was mostly leather. Not my favourite but I enjoyed the smoke. I have 2 more so will leave them longer. Minimal strength which is good as I'm a lightweight and have 2 - 3 cigars a year when the mood takes me. Nicaraguan tobacco is my preference so far to be honest. Looking forward to trying the V I have resting up. Can see why these are top rated. Only had to relight once bt that was probably me though. Found 1 toke every 30 second was good.

Montecristo No. 4 Cigar - 1 Single

Great tasting cigar, but i've had a couple that are too tightly packed. Sometimes a great smoke...but often, an awful draw. I'd buy them all the time if the build quality was better.

Inca Secret Blend Reserva D Oro Robusto Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 15 June, 2017
Bought one of these a few months back and just gotten around to smoking it. Starts quite spicey and woody and a little bitter but once it settles it turns very nice indeed. Smooth and floral sweetness throughout with a touch of white pepper. Burnt perfectly requiring no attention or touch ups and lasted me the best part of an hour. A very enjoyable smoke indeed.
