Montecristo Petit Tubos Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 17 March, 2014
I found this cigar to be very well constructed, easy to light and experienced no issues keeping it alight. This coupled with an excellent draw and plenty of smoke made it a trouble free experience, but not one I'd personally go for again. This cigar came with a reputation of consistency, and in this instance I found that to be a bit of a handicap, finding the smoke somewhat uninspiring, with little excitement, but then I suppose that does come hand in hand with consistency, however! All in all, a good, well built smoke, but not the most exciting.

WOW, really enjoyed this one, (if you read my review on the Sancho Belicosos you probably said , "theres no pleaseing this guy" ) well this one is now going to be one of my regulars. Excellent flavor, lightly spicy(not overbearing, would say its a light side medium), definately some cocoa and expresso hints in here that made it a pleasure to taste, and was never to rough through out the whole smoke (down to the nub)medium spicyness on finish. Burn was nice and even and at a good pace, aroma is a tad stronger but pleasing. Smoke production was PERFECT! If you want a 35-45 minute smoke that you want some flavor but don't want you eyes bugging out when you finish. Its good with literally anything from bottled water to a fine burgundy or Scotch. (mine was with a plain coffee and was great, second one was with a glass of ice water and lemon....again great) then definately worth buying a couple to try.

I recieved one of these in a gift box and when I first lit it, I can't say I really enjoyed it. I must of had a dud, or it probably tunnelled, because I cut the burning end off (shun!) and went back to it the next day, lit it up, and WOW. All of the flavours kicked in and completely brought my mouth to life! My stick must have been a dud, as I'm sure they are normally fantastic. All in all, great Cuban cigar for beginners.

Montecristo Petit Edmundo Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Wednesday 15 January, 2014
First off. Montecristo are by far my favourite Cuban brand. Short robusto's are my favourite too, so what does this combination give you? I'll tell you. That typical Monte Edmundo flavour is classic, the shorter length intensifies the experience tenfold, heavy and deep earth with deep espresso like coffee notes with a sweet cream on the finish, this slowly changes as you reach the middle, a slight cayenne like spice mixing with that earth and cream really hits you full on, and it's goodbye present is an intensified spice, a little too much for me but nevertheless. One of my all time favourites.

Great Cigar, burnt evenly and drew some nice levels of smoke. Great for an evenign smoke, some highly exotic flavours and good elvel of spice. Overall great Cigar. A safe bet to play.
