H. Upmann No. 2 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 26 June, 2011
Great draw and a wonderful medium flavour which just gets better. Burn was excellent with strong tight ash which stayed firm till half way down. The only problem you will have is finding enough time to smoke it to the nub, this big boy lasted me 45 minutes and I was sorry when I had to finally lay it to rest. So good I immediately ordered another three to lay down and see how much better they can become.

H. Upmann No. 2 Cigar - Box of 25

This has been a really wonderful smoke and a great way to spend the best part of a couple of hours on an early weekend afternoon. My own personal experience with cigars has been that the one I smoke ROTT upon delivery usually gives me a pretty good idea of what's to come and I know that I now need to give these at least a month or two to rest and get used to my humidor before smoking another but it's not gonna be easy in this case!!

Firstly,a beautiful thing to look at.Perfectly constructed,a wonderful chocolate coloured wrapper with a lovely, oily sheen. It really did look good enough to eat! Sweet and mild pre-light flavours. The first third was a very mild and light bodied smoke with an absolute multitude of flavours coming through, sweet coffee, cream, some chocolate and vanilla in there also and much more besides I'm sure, just so full of flavour.Into the second third and it developed very markedly into much more defined woody, leather and spice flavours with just a slight peppery finish. The final third and not so spicy anymore, definitely medium bodied and the sweetness was back with those truly wonderful toasted Cuban tobacco flavours.A thick and very chewy smoke and the aroma coming off this cigar was absolutely magnificent the whole way down, and a perfect combustion.I'm sure there has been so much more in this cigar that I've not been able to define, especially in the final third. This has been a really wonderful smoke and a great way to spend the best part of a couple of hours on an early weekend afternoon. My own

Hoyo de Monterrey Petit Robusto Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 12 September, 2010
A superb cigar, very smooth from the first puff to the last. The taste was very nutty like almonds with hints of leather. I thoroughly enjoyed this cigar as I’m usually put off by the length of other cigars with this ring gauge as they take over an hour to smoke but this one can be enjoyed in 45min.

H. Upmann Magnum 50 Cigar - Cabinet of 10
Date Added: Thursday 22 July, 2010
Bought a 3 pack of these H.Upmann Cigars - Now I smoke nothing else!! The light flavours and textures definetly suit my personal tastes, great construction and an even burn with matches makes these baby's easy to smoke and enjoy! I've tried Churchills, Cohiba's and Punch cigars but as of a few weeks past I decided to make these my only purchase from now on - just the ideal length and ring size, a manly looking cigar but one that won't pete you out like a super Habano. Weather your new to cigars or just want something different, lighter in texture than a hard smoke maybe? - these H.Up mann's are a real treat. Can't wait to order more in the future, this box of 10 are on the top of my wish list.

H. Upmann Magnum 50 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 01 June, 2010
A friend of mine, who is far more of a cigar connoisseur then I, told me that this is one of his all time favourite cigars. To an extent I can see why. It is a good manly looking size but won't quite take the commitment that a double corona or churchill might take. It has a good dominant flavour whilst not being too strong. For me the underlying taste notes were rich coffee beans in a cloth sack and probably would make a fine companion to oily dark expresso. For me though there was perhaps a little too much of the bitterness/sourness in this cigar which many others may like, but it is the only reason why this cigar for me does not have 5 stars. I acknowledge the fact however that I have a habit of making this last comment about some cigars because I smoke them too 'young' and will be the first one to edit or re-write this review once I have aged the Magnum 50's for a little longer... I am certain that should you like the bitterness of rich dark coffee's then ths cigar will match up just perfectly for you.
