Gurkha Cellar Reserve 18 Year Old Solara Double Robusto Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 28 September, 2020
This cigar the first Gurkha i have ever tried has brought back my faith that non Cuban cigars can be as good if not better than Cuban cigars, i have had some very poor experiences with non Cuban cigars But this Gurkha 18 year old Cellar Reserve is absolutely fabulous, the foot needs to be carefully lit at the very tip but once lit the draw after a couple of minutes is perfect, the cigar starts off mild to medium then in the second third it is deffinately medium and the final third quite strong, the burn is very good and the ash held until the half way point, the taste is very pleasent and enjoyable indeed, it lasted well over an hour i paired it with a Trappistes Rochefort 10 strong ale 11.3% a very enjoyable afternoon had and will most deffinately buy the cigar and the ale again

Gawith Hoggarth Rich Dark Spring Dew Mixture (Formerly Rich Dark Honey Dew) Pipe Tobacco (Loose)
Date Added: Thursday 03 September, 2020
This is a special smoke that lives up to its name. Only ordered 10g sample and regretted not buying more almost instantly. Usually not a fan of Virginia-heavy blends, but the dark cured in this works for me. Can imagine some pipers being unimpressed with the slightly medicinal taste, but for me, it's subtle, interesting and invigorating. The room note has that "old books" thing going on which I found to be true of another honeyed tobacco. The strength is surprising since the taste is so smooth, so it behooves the piper to take time and sip this one. Big fan already after a single bowl. Rich, dark and slightly mysterious, just like this reviewer (except for the rich part).

Gurkha Cellar Reserve 12 Year Old Solara Cigar - 1 Single

I’ve heard good and bad things about this cigar but as usual I like to make my own mind up. I must say what a brilliant smoke . I had a gorgeous roast dinner made by the best chef I know ( my mum ) and afterwards smoked this cigar with a ten year old aged port . It was great , touched the burn up a couple of times but it tasted and smoked lovely would definitely recommend

Glendronach 12 Year Old Original - 70cl 43%
Date Added: Sunday 19 July, 2020
A very pleasant surprise! Initially a very nice mouthful of dried fruits followed perfectly with well balanced-soft woody notes the sweetness of which is nicely challenged by a hint of Iodine. A very enjoyable malt indeed, would recommend and purchase for myself.

Perfect for a special occasion. Delicious, rich flavours throughout. Sweet, oak fruitiness you start which develops gradually into a crescendo of leather and...burnt rubber? But a nice burnt rubber. Build wasn’t flawless but I can’t fault that too much.
