Date Added: Saturday 19 November, 2022
First point Id like to make is Im no expert on cigars, and everyones tastes differ, this stick has a lovely pepper flavour from start to finish, no harsh after taste and a smooth even burn all the way down, for the price its well worth it, I myself will most definitely buy again, Ive nothing bad to say about this cigar 60+min of smoking pleasure.

Was really looking forward to try this after reading reviews but it did not really do it for me. Lovely looking and great burn but tasted of ash more than anything. Again it is just personal taste I guess. Will try the Gurkha ghost spook to see if it was just this cigar. Great service from c gars again though, not sure I will ever go into a shop again!!!!

Gurkha Cellar Reserve 12 Year Old Solara Cigar - 1 Single

This is a good cigar! Had an issue with the wrapper coming away as I was smoking which meant I probably couldn’t return it as last time with a different stick I had to return for a replacement so didn’t bother trying. Cold draw: prunes, chilli on the lips, lovely. 1/3 lots of white pepper on retrohale moving to strong espresso with Demerara sugar, sweet coffee. 2/3 lovely fresh baked bread with a hint of cinnamon. Little bit of spice on the tongue. 3/3 fell apart and unable to smoke Lots of body, great smoke production. Didn’t find it too strong. Great draw and devastated it fell apart as it warmed up. Would get again and giving it 4 stars as I’ll ignore the damage in light of a fair review.

Gurkha Heritage Collection Limited Edition Robusto Corto Cigar - 1 Single

First time trying a Gurkha, usually stick with Cuban. Not a totally unpleasant experience. The first and second were OK, burn was nice and even. Third was an awful experience, burnt uneven, air pocket in the middle (a good cm). No noticeable notes. However a sweet perfume, palma violet smell when resting on the holder, but did not come through on the retrohale. Overall wouldnt buy again, forgettable.

Glenallachie 12 Year Old - 46% 70cl
Date Added: Monday 10 October, 2022
Single malt spirit, Sherry, and virgin oak casks, with twelve years in the perfect whisky ageing spot, produces a stunning dram. GlenAllachie Distillery perches on the Aberlour stream near the end of the river Spey. Its closest neighbour is Aberlour at the base of Ben Rinnes. It was originally built to produce spirit for blended scotch in 1967. This liquid has influence from both Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks, resulting in a heavy palate of Dried Fruit and Vanilla. A heavy-set vanilla and almond on the nose, followed up by wildflower marmalade. A very smooth palate of honey and liquorice followed by a anise and soft lemony citrus. A long, sweet finish that reminds me of the purple grape skittle or the purple starburst. It tastes purple…

Very disappointing, very hard to draw burnt unevenly an un impressive taste and as a previous reviewer stated totally underwhelming. I wish I’d read the reviews before I purchased.
