My first of these and, I would have to say, very enjoyable. I was over zealous with both the cut and the lighting, it only needs a little snip and next time I will try just lighting the little tip. A very easy draw and I would say a typically Cuban flavour, if you know what I mean. Lots of smoke, I usually double puff most cigars to fully appreciate the flavour, no need to with this one; even after it’s been put down for a rest. Really enjoyed the first third; definitely full flavoured due to the full flavour of the wrapper, no doubt, but nice with it. I do like strong flavours. Into 2nd third and, I would say, cooler and creamier but I’m never sure whether it’s just my palate becoming familiar with the flavour. Into final third, still mild and creamy to my old taste buds, although flavour started to change to a little harsher, still enjoyable. Last inch it became a little too harsh, even for me. Not really a fan of the end of the cigar, but that might be because I ran out of cognac!
Shame it’s not a little cheaper, is my only personal gripe; if it was I would buy a lot more. Overal

A good tasting 20 minute smoke, but don’t expect it to stay alight for any longer than 30 seconds if left alone

Cohiba Medio Siglo Tubed Cigar - 1 Single

This is a nice cigar, there’s no bones about it, however, I’m struggling to justify the price tag. At £28 a pop, I can buy 3 or 4 really nice new world cigars, or cheaper Cubans. I didn’t feel that this was £20 better than some of the £8 per stick ones I’ve had. I had a box of Siglo Vs and thought the same, maybe from now on I will just stick to the mid rangers as I obviously (despite smoking cigars for 10 years now) haven’t got a refined enough palate to tell the difference. On a tasting note, this cigar was spicy, with lovely earthiness and robust flavour. I found the draw a little too hard, the same with other Cohibas, some are good and some try your patience. Get one and try it, you won’t be disappointed, just poorer...

Bought a pack of 10 and smoked my first tonight, didnt have any particular expectations but was very pleasantly surprised. For such a small cigar it packed real punch in terms of flavour, quite spicy on initial light up with a deep, rich earthy flavour throughout. My only experience with Cohiba up until now has been to treat myself to a single Siglo IV so I couldnt honestly tell you if these are an accurate representation of a typical Cohiba flavour but it was very pleasing to my beginners pallet. The only difficulty with this cigar is restraining myself from not smoking the whole pack in a single weekend!

Let me put you straight. To get the best from these they need to be stored in a humidor. Direct from the packet they are very dry. In another review Ive seen the word Harsh, used and initially I would have agreed.
I recently took a packet of these on a day trip to the coast and was unimpressed to say the least. They were so dry that they burned the back of my throat. A complete waste of money, or so I thought.
On returning home I removed the cellophane wrappings from what were left and returned them to their box, leaving it open by approx. half an inch (a purpose for which its designed for) and placed it in my humidor.
After a couple of months I tried another.
The difference was astounding. A real taste of the high life. I now know why Cohibas are the price that they are.
These are real cigars and should be treated as so to get the best from them.
A waste of money? Certainly not!!!
