CAO Amazon Basin Toro Cigar - 1 Single

I had massive hopes for this cigar and actually waited for 12 months on new stock arriving. Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. I actually reviewed the cigar on my youtube channel. I paired it with a very rare Foursquare rum to mark the occasion. The rum was amazing but the 2026 Amazon Basin did not perform. The cigar had great aroma from the wrapper before light up. The draw was super tight and literally the only flavour tone I could taste was charred / burnt oak. That continued through the 1st third and never changed. I decided not to smoke past the 1st third as it was not improving and really not enjoyable. After posting my video, there were a few people in the comments section who confirmed that the 2026 Amazon Basin is terrible compared to the other years, which were actually fantastic.

This is my new go to smoke. It has some amazing earthy flavours and the 2nd half I get marzipan tones which I love. The draw was a little tight but acceptable and the burn line was so perfect it was hard to believe. I have never had a bad Casa 1910 cigar.

Absolutely delicious cigar, some familiar flavours but also something I've never tasted in a cigar before.
Good looking in a handmade, rustic sort of way, lovely mocha wrapper, very smooth and slightly oily with tight seams and minimal veins, band is...well it's tobacco 'rope' and should be smoked, do not remove it.
Despite the rustic looks construction is flawless, cut with a single V the draw was perfect and produced excellent amounts of thick, cool, white smoke. Burn line was razor sharp with zero corrections needed, the ash was firm and brilliant white holding on for over an inch.
I disagree with the strength rating, I'd say it's low strength but a solid medium body which makes it a pleasure to smoke.
Flavours...ok then, there's some familiar stuff going on, noticeable creamy coffee upfront alongside creamy roasted nut, predominantly pecan, hazelnut and Brazil nut, this is complimented with cedar and leather. Conquistador Robusto Cigar - 1 Single

Given the price, very good smoke. It lacks the complexity and flavour of more premium cigars but the build quality was superb. Burn was very even and produced a lot of smoke. Flavours were mainly creamy with some spice at the end.
It lasted around 35/40 minutes.
I’m giving it 4/5 due to how affordable it is for those starting out and not wanting to pay £20+.

A decent smoke with a nice flavour profile. The draw was a little tight which helped honestly. Smoking it too quickly results in a strong bitter flavour. If you take your time there is a mild but tasty coffee / dark chocolate. Not winning any awards but not bad.
