My first mystery cigar from my monthly subscription box. My parcel arrived today (2/5/19) and naturally I was intrigued to try this stick first. I must say, I was suitably impressed. Good even burn, perfect draw and altogether a very well presented cigar. I would definitely Re-visit this brand again in the future, even though I like to try as many different cigars as possible and dont often go back to the same ones. Personally I enjoyed it with a glass of French red wine and I found they matched really well. Maybe next time Ill go with a single malt. Try it guys its delicious!

Cuaba Salomones Cigar - 1 Single

If you havent tried one of these cigars then I highly recommend it. Not many people have heard of Cuaba and its a shame because these are some of the finest Cuban cigars Ive ever smoked. The Partagas Salomones is nice but this Cuaba is something special. Do yourself a massive favour and smoke one of these.
Also, the service from CGars was seriously amazing; I guess nothing new then.

Im no expert but here is my take...
This is acceptable for the price. You get a heffer of a cigar. Prior to smoking this i kept it in a humidor (out of the tube) for over 2 months at 72%RH.
It burned quite slowly but smoke was mediocre and the draw was a little tight. The flavour was neither too bland or too over powering. I felt like I was smoking a £12 cigar.
I normally never do this but I took the ciagr band off (this weakens the wrapper if taken off to early) it started to unravel and burn very unevenly after a third of the way through. I tried to re cut it to give it a second chance but this did nothing.
I looks nice, tastes okay, burns slow and has a tight draw. And its also pretty. But please for the love of all things cigars dont maky my mistake. Only take the band off when the burn line is about a half inch away from the band.

Conquistador Corona Cigar - 1 Single

Cracking smoke for the price. Nothing too complex going on flavour wise but an absolute pleasure to smoke from start to finish.. An excellent burn that required zero maintenance and the ash held well. Will definitely be ordering more to dish out at BBQs this summer.

Pretty looking and well constructed but overall, really bland. It lasted a long time and was pleasant enough, but no real flavour there.

Cohiba Piramides Extra Cigar - 1 Single

Smooth and well rounded. Balanced almost to perfection with a hint of spice but rather mellow, digestable taste that lacks bite but is consistently nuanced. Build is second to none with great draw throughout and with this vitola you can really sink your teeth in and enjoy at leisure. It really lends itself to a lazy evening and a slightly sweet, mild skotch. At that level though, price point might be a concern and there certainly is better value to be found elsewhere.
