Bells Three Nuns Pipe Tobacco 40g Pouch

I my 40 odd years of pipe smoking I have tried many types of tobacco. But my standard is always Three Nuns. It is always the one I come back to after trying something different. It is a shame that there is no longer a choice of the source of origin and that it is now only available ready rubbed. But it is still a great smoke.

This was a very nice tasting cigar, especially the middle 3rd, woody with a hint of sweetness and reminiscent of some far more expensive cigars. However the one I tried was let down by having quite a tight draw and the wrapper splitting when I smoked it. I think this was down to it being to tightly packed, rather than over humidified, as I have not had any similar issues with other cigars.
I will definitely try another couple to see if I was just unlucky, but I won't be buying a box just yet.

This morning I received 2x50g pouches of this wonderful aromatic tobacco, on opening the pouch and teasing the tobacco loose there was a beautiful sweet scent of bourbon, it provoked me to recall a wonderful evening with a bottle of (Jack Daniels)+ good company :_)
Another relaxing thought provoking tobacco :_)

Bolivar Tubos No. 2 Cigar - 1 Single

This was my first Bolivar experience, and was a great introduction to the brand. Lasting around 40 minutes, this made a nice evening smoke. Peppery, especially in the last third. Not too harsh at any point. Buy one, you wont regret it.

A very pleasant smoke indeed, the aroma reminded me of my grandfathers pipe smoke- sweet and aromatic. The smoke is light and smooth with a sweet mouth feel. The construction is rustic and can leave shreds on the lip but this is to be expected with such a traditional cigar. Looks and feels like a cigar from an old western movie! Very pleasant- cant wait for another one so a good job that they're sold in packs of 5! A good short smoke.

Only smoked one of these so maybe I should wait until I've had a couple to judge. However, very nice looking cigar, and extremely reasonably priced for this size and quality. For that reason I was looking forward to adding it to my list of favourites.
Lights well, easy draw and lots of effortless smoke. Taste wise I would have liked a bit more. seemed, not bland, but just not very distinctive. Maybe it was too subtle for me. I'll certainly try another because of the virtues set out above which make it an excellent mild smoke.
