Bolivar Belicosos Finos Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 03 June, 2016
Reviewed by Roger Safian (May 2003) Let me tell you about my current favorite cigar. It's the Bolivar Belicosos Finos - Cabinet. This is a beautiful cigar, that is about 5.5 inches with a 52 ring gauge. The wrapper has a wonderful oily sheen, that highlight the slight toothy-ness of the cigar. To me, this represents the classic cigar. A torpedo shaped delight that emits clouds of wonderful smelling smoke. It reminds me very much of the classic cigar smoking hero in the movies. The cigar's construction is perfect, with a cap that clips nicely. The pre-draw is excellent. Firm yet you don't have to force the air through the cigar. I light the cigar, and lean back and relax. The flavors are wonderful. As the cigar burns the oils glisten on the wrapper before they are consumed in the next puff. A friend recently described smoking this cigar as an almost religious experience, and I would have to agree. You won't want this to finish, and you will find yourself smoking it until your fingers can't hold the nub anymore. When it does end, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that y

Boveda Metal Holder - Holds 1 Pack
Date Added: Sunday 15 May, 2016
Very smart looking item. Fits nicely in the lid of my 30-capacity humidor. I've noticed that boveda packets produce a slightly lower RH when sitting in this than when simply placed in among the cigars. A 69% packets gives me 66% when sitting on the cigars and about 63% from within this holder. It comes with two fitting methods: Velcro and magnet. The Velcro is so strong it pulled away the piece attached to the lid, bringing some wood with it. I recommend fitting it with the magnet.

Bolivar Royal Corona Cigar - 1 Single

This is the second Bolivar cigar that I have had and I enjoyed this one much more than the first. I initially got a hit of creaminess when I first sparked up but this quickly became quite peppery and earthy which lasted for the first third of the cigar. The final two thirds the taste became considerably more woody, but not harsh at all. I found the final two thirds to be more to my liking. The cigar was well made with an ash which stayed together very well and produced a nice cone when tapped. The cigar did burn quite unevenly, a difference of about 10-12mm by the end between the two sides. I enjoyed this whilst on a break from motorbiking, relaxing in the summer sun. I think I would have enjoyed it even more with a cup of coffee or a nice malt.

Bolivar Coronas J Cigar - 1 Single

Mine was quite an ugly example being varied in colour and veiny. The foot was packed very loosely. Burned ok, pretty bland and that was that really. I love the bigger Bolivars but can't recommend this one due to price. It's a £4 smoke not £8. You can get better for half the price from Dominica or Nicaragua. In my opinion even the little Arturo Fuente cubanitos are far superior to this cigar.

I was very disappointed with this cigar. I kept it in the humidor for 6 months before sparking it up and I found it to be quite bland. A bit of woodiness and leather tannins but little else. Certainly not awful, just incredibly boring and rather forgettable.
