Balvenie 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask - 43% 70cl
Date Added: Friday 13 March, 2020
Complex mouthfeel with toffee, chewy caramel, slight vanilla and light molasses on the palate. Not as spicy as the standard Balvenie 12 year old but it does develop a slight spiciness on the finish. Brown sugar, fruit and more spice to follow.

Bolivar Belicosos Finos Cigar - Cabinet Selection - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 25 February, 2020
Let me tell you about my current favorite cigar. Its the Bolivar Belicosos Finos - Cabinet. This is a beautiful cigar, that is about 5.5 inches with a 52 ring gauge. The wrapper has a wonderful oily sheen, that highlight the slight toothy-ness of the cigar. To me, this represents the classic cigar. A torpedo shaped delight that emits clouds of wonderful smelling smoke. It reminds me very much of the classic cigar smoking hero in the movies. The cigars construction is perfect, with a cap that clips nicely. The pre-draw is excellent. Firm yet you dont have to force the air through the cigar. I light the cigar, and lean back and relax. The flavors are wonderful. As the cigar burns the oils glisten on the wrapper before they are consumed in the next puff. A friend recently described smoking this cigar as an almost religious experience, and I would have to agree. You wont want this to finish, and you will find yourself smoking it until your fingers cant hold the nub anymore. When it does end, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you have enjoyed one of the true pleasures of this

Borkum Riff Ruby (Formerly Cherry Cavendish) Pipe Tobacco 50g Pouch
Date Added: Thursday 20 February, 2020
Borkum Riff Ruby is a Cavendish style blend, made from fermented Burley and Kentucky tobacco. As is the trademark style, the cherry casing is noticeable, but doesn’t totally dominate the taste of the tobacco. There is a pleasant, toasty and sweet taste from the tobacco, which harmonises nicely with the casing. Speaking of which; the cherry taste is pleasantly fresh and they’ve also snuck a hint of vanilla in there, but cherry is very much the focal point of the blend.

Balblair 15 Year Old - 46% 70cl
Date Added: Wednesday 12 February, 2020
Balblair relaunched it’s core range in early 2019 and the 15 year old is initially matured in ex-bourbon casks before being moved to first fill Spanish oak butts. From this you will receive deeper fruit notes than the 12 year old which is also joined by lovely chocolate notes, beautifully tropical and full bodied. On the nose you may be able to pick up the smell of leatherwood honey, spicy gingerbread, lots of juicy citrus freshness and a hint of coffee and walnut cake. On the palate is a smooth, velvety texture bursting with dark chocolate, tropical fruits, spices and ginger. A long and mellow finish of curaçao orange, creamy vanilla, caramelised dates, dried oak and of course citrus.
