I actually got time to smoke this this evening.
Very pleasantly surprised by the taste and quality of this small and cheap cigar.
It’s a shame I have only the one.
Would certainly recommend.

The illustration is deceptive, but in a good way: this was a larger, chubbier cigar than Id expected. Burns evenly with a flaky outer ash and a more compact interior that forms a glowing, bullet-like point. An excellent affordable daily smoke. It lasted me fifty minutes.

Cohiba Lanceros Cigar - 1 Single

Ive just had a very interesting experience with one of these that Ive had in the humidor for 10 years, and felt it was worth sharing. I bought these a decade ago in a pack of 5 from Geneva (not from C.Gars) dated 2001 (notoriously a very bad year on the whole for Havanas), and indeed found them to be from one of those early 2000s batches that were very tight, overly strong in the blend and slightly bitter. The wrappers were dark and very oily - which some older Cohibas did indeed have, usually on these oddly strong and bitter blends. FOHtv did a review of some Siglo 2s that had this very problem. They were not counterfeits - just badly blended and constructed as many batches were back then - there were still distinct Cohiba flavours. Its purely guesswork on my part but I think these infamous old strong batches of Cohibas were possibly just from tobacco harvests that were rushed into production and not properly fermented and aged before rolling, so they never got the chance to mellow out. If you want a cheap cigar these are fine, but if you want something decent in my opinion you need to spend a bit more. The burn was quick and hot, for the price give it a try but donÂ’t expect to much.

As I new comer to cigars I was really looking forward to this. Smoked whilst walking the dogs and really enjoyed it. It was quite spicy at first but mellowed out and carried on until there wasnÂ’t enough to hold. Beautifully made no complaints.

Having tried the red, hopes were not high. I was surprised. This is a really good cigar. Well constructed, excellent flavour. Even a good aftertaste. Will be buying this one again.
