Tried my third one gifted to me at a wedding. Ive avoided reviewing any of the Open range so far as I felt I must have just had the worst luck imaginable with these. However I am now ready to add my thoughts.
Utter garbage. Well rolled and presented inferior blends offering very little flavour and no complexity at all. Marketed to golfers of course - an easy target for flogging expensive junk to.

Ive tried a few of these now from various boxes and while they have certainly been pleasant cigars, I have found the blend to be thoroughly average and flat. Nothing Especial about these and in fact the regular Epicure 2s of late have often been exceptional - far more delicious and complex. I may have had very bad luck with these but I wouldnt bother spending the extra when the Epi 2s are much better. They may not be to the horrendous blending standards of pure marketing gimmicks like the Montecristo Open range, but still not worth the money.

My new favourite. A beautifully constructed stick, with some lovely complex flavours which change and develop even in such a compact smoke. Coca, leather, spice that picks up in the final third. Woody notes and some light spice early on, really flavourful cigar even though my pallet didn’t pick up citrus it developed and kept me engaged and interested for an enjoyable 40mins I’m so thankful that a larger size is available so I can enjoy it for longer when the sun returns. Buy one and you won’t be disappointed.

I tried one these I bought couple weeks ago my first Jose L piedra. And I must say very impressed a Lovely smooth burn great taste looking forward to more in next order. True bargain Cuban.

As a newbie to the world of cigars my experience is somewhat limited but this was a really enjoyable smoke. Great burn and draw with an abundance of flavour. Really enjoyable hour!
