As a new pipe smoker I’ve been trying lots of different tobaccos to get an understanding of flavours.
I’d thought I had found my ideal tobacco in a Kentucky Black Cherry Cavendish, but sadly that is being discontinued. After lots of research came across Ultimum, what can I say a perfectly balanced tobacco cool and sweet with not even a hint of tongue bite.
I enjoyed my first bowl so much, I had another straight away. Definately my new go to tobacco to help me unwind, I savour every sip.

Received one of these in the November new world sub. While it sat well in the cheaper end of the offering it was probably one of if not my favourite. Great construction for a smaller ring gauge, smoked beautifully right through with little effort. Some lovely notes of white pepper without being overbearing

Initial problems with the outer wrapper. Was split at the lighting end, and split at the mouth end when I made the cut. Managed to smoke it besides, and it ended up a great smoke despite the wrapper problems. Easy draw. Enjoyed it with an Admiral Rodney rum from St. Lucia. Not too strong, not too weak. Leathery and peppery and creamy smoke. Real Cuban flavour. Getting cocoa and chocolatey notes which worked with the Caribbean rum. Uneven burn that needed touching up with my Colibri lighter. Despite the wrapper issues it was a great smoke - would not stop me from trying the Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill Cigar again. The draw was superlative throughout. I really struggle with a tight draw.

Tastes a bit strange, alot worse than a tobacco cigarette but great for someone trying to quit smoking.

These are excellent little smokes. I have tried Cohiba mini's and the Motecristo equivalent in the past. But they did not have enough filler and so were hot and too easy to draw. These are frankly a far better and enjoyable short smoke.

I purchased this prior to lockdown and thought it appropriate to write a review now that I have been using this product for a few years, and about to upgrade.
This is excellent as a first humidor and maintains humidity reasonable well. The capacity is sufficient for someone who is smoking shortly after purchasing cigars, but not for laying cigars down for any great period of time (unless you have the patience of a saint!). The hygrometer is not very accurate however if used with Boveda bags then the issue is a minor one.
The capacity is listed at 25 but if you are carefully and rotate regularly then it will hold a few more than that.
Overall, this is an excellent place to start and represents good value for money.
