Davidoff Winston Churchill The Late Hour Churchill Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 11 January, 2025
Construction; The construction quality was of a high standard. Fine veins on the wrapper and reasonable draw on the pre-light. 1st Third; Acrid flavours of burnt toffee, Strong black pepper and a little sweetness. 2nd Third; Mellowed a little, more sweetness with less harshness. Final third; Black pepper flavour intensified, followed by an Ammonia aftertaste that proved un-smokable . I was unable to finish the cigar and was left with what pipe smokers call tongue bite, which persisted to the following day. Very disappointed with this cigar and will not be buying a second.

Oliva Aliados Original Robusto Cigar - 1 Single

Smoked via punch cut Very well constructed and lit well, burn was consistent throughout. Was a tight draw at first, but used the easy draw to open it up. Quite a mild sweet taste, cedar undertones, unfortunately didn’t produce lots of smoke. Lasted about a hour. Easy enjoyable smoke, will buy again.

As someone new to cigar smoking and having tried several different brands, I can say that this is my favourite. I found it vary easy and enjoyable to smoke and would recommend this cigar to anyone who wants something to pare with a nice glass of whisky.

Drew Estate Undercrown Maduro Coronet Cigar - 1 Single

Quick smoke, held the ash well and lots of smoke considering the size of this cigar. Started to unravel, but held it together. Review says it’s full strength, but didn’t get that, would say it’s more medium. Suppose it’s good value for a 15 mins smoke, but not sure I’d buy again.

Inka Secret Blend Red Half Corona Cigar - Pack of 4
Date Added: Thursday 09 January, 2025
Fantastic beginners Cigar, a lot smoother and better taste than Henri Wintermans Corona Sumatra or Romeo y Julieta Puritos. I did find it a long smoke so would cut the Cigar in half mid smoke for later. The Cigar sometimes would not amit much smoke and wouldn't get a proper draw, I overcame this with rolling it in my hand and gently pinching the Cigar from top to bottom to get a better draw which solved this issue but by the final quarter of the Cigar did slightly warp the integrity of it but was fine and had a great taste. Recommend as a beginners Cigar

Romeo y Julieta No. 1 Tubed Cigar - 1 Single

This was a really nice smoke and it took me 1 hour to smoke to the nub. A bit of a firm draw which opened up the further along the cigar you get. Only a touch of spice all the way through made this enjoyable. Must keep a few in the humidor.
