Received as a mystery £10 cigar.
Single V cut gave a near perfect draw, plenty of thick white smoke with just a touch of resistance. Construction is nearly perfect, a bit of a wavy burn initially; however, after a minor correction it proceeded to burn perfectly straight. Wrapper is super oily and slick, filler is well packed and even.
Body is a solid medium high, strength is pretty high too with a noticeable nicotine kick in the upper chest.
Flavour profile is predominantly dry leather a d roasted nut alongside lots of very dark chocolate and cacao, some nice coffee notes emerged as it progressed alongside a very pleasant natural sweetness.
Only real issue was excessive glue on the bands causing damage to the wrapper.

My first cigar and still the best yet,only reason I didn't give 5☆ is the price,which for me seems a little excessive for the size of the stick but I suppose you're also paying for the name!!!
That said I will buy more at some point.

As a newbie this was my least favourite smoke so far,maybe it was me and the fact I was outside on a cold winter's afternoon with a coffee but as others have said it burnt unevenly,kept going out(had to relight 3 times) and the draw wasn't very good,but again that could've been me perhaps cutting to much off!!!
Smoke time lasted way longer than 20mins so can assume you must have to draw way more than I was!!!
Would I buy again? No

I was really looking forward to this one, as it looks really good, unfortunately i feel like i should of left it in the humidor looking pretty! it was disappointing for the most part, 1st third i felt like i was fighting it to get a draw, about 1/3 down i got to the good taste and good smoke this was short lived as the wrapper came fully undone and pretty much unravelled itself! i held on for as long as i could but it was then not an enjoyable experience!
if i was offered one for cheaper price in future i would maybe give it a second chance but i don't think ill pay full or near full price for one!

Super sweet cigar hints of honey from the sweetend tip which mixes with the strong pepper and wheaty taste.
The construction is a bit to be desired but for the price can’t complain. Good for a beginner though a little rough on the tongue.

This Charatan Claro is hands down up there with pne of the best mild cigar I’ve smoked to date! (Perdomo 10th Anniversary slightly topping it ) the claro is a pure creamy perfection in every puff. From the first light, it delivers a silky smooth experience rich toast, fresh cedar, toasted almonds and a gentle honeyed sweetness that coats the palate without ever overwhelming. No harshness, no pepper bite, just elegant, refined creaminess that feels luxurious yet approachable.
The draw is flawless, the burn even and cool, and the ash holds solid classic premium construction. The flavor stays consistent through the entire smoke, never getting hot or bitter, which is rare for a short format like the Half Churchill . It’s the kind of cigar I can enjoy first thing in the morning or after dinner without needing to adjust my palate.
If you love smooth, creamy, “not too much” cigars, this is a must try. Easily one of the most enjoyable and repeatable smokes in my humidor.
Highly recommend – Charatan Claro is a 5-star winner.
