Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2 Tubed Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 10 May, 2015
Having heard good things about the Hoyo De Monterrey Epicure No 2, I decided it was time to give it a go. The first thing to note about this cigar is its appearance on the eye. From the rich warm colour of the wrapper, to the bold double band printed in red, gold and white, this cigar seemingly oozes real quality. The feel of the cigar is compact without being too rigid, which should hopefully allow for a good draw. Finished with a tidy double cap, simply holding this cigar makes me feel more elegant. Upon lighting, the first few draws bring with it a smooth creamy taste, with hints of wood and chocolate. As I progress, the burn is excellent, with delicate white spots visible in the ash. The draw is good also. Into the second third of the cigar, the smoothness remains, however a hint of cinnamon begins to emerge, along with further intensified flavours of chocolate and wood. The burn remains excellent at about thirty minutes into this medium bodied cigar. Flavours remain similar into the final third of the cigar, with a smooth creamy taste, complimented by subtle hints of

San Cristobal El Principe Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 09 May, 2015
As a novice smoker researching the cigar selection for our wedding, this was bought on recommendation from your shop in Glasgow as the ideal length of smoke for this occasion. Smoked after brunch at a civilised Glasgow cafe, it started out with a light draw but soon developed into something more substantial, and a coffee latte complimented it very well indeed. It lasted a satisfyingly long time, and while classed as a light to medium cigar, certainly gave this novice a powerful smoking experience. Definitely a serious contender for our wedding selection.

Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve - 44% 70cl
Date Added: Thursday 07 May, 2015
A very welcome return for the Dalmore Cigar Malt which was discontinued in 2009 and is now back by very popular demand. This is by far one of my favourite single malts to enjoy with or without a cigar, although the latter does make for a superbly delicious pairing! This well balanced scotch whisky is mouth-wateringly complex with notes of caramel, chocolate and orange peel. A smooth and warming malt with a long zesty finish and subtle hints of spice, perfect for enjoying on a warm summers evening with a fine Habanos (my favourite has been a Trinidad Reyes). This has quite quickly become my Dalmore of choice (and I love Dalmore!)

Inka Secret Blend Blue Petit Corona Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 30 April, 2015
This was my first cigar ever, and having researched for well over a week, I decided on this cigar. Having researched for a nice, mild cigar, I have only just discovered that this was infact full bodied! Upon recieving the cigar, as a complete beginner I went about sniffing the cigar like a basset hound, to my pleasure, it smelled mildy pleasant and I felt it was going to be a good smoke. Upon researching how to cut, light and survive the cigar, I went about smoking. The C.Gars cutter I purchased was a messy job, but the job was done and the cap was off to an appropriate degree. The first puff of my first cigar is a moment I will seldom forget, I was instantly knocked back and whilst slightly concerned, I soldiered on through the cigar, Kinder Bueno on hand. About 1/3rd through the cigar, I developed a nasty case of cigar sickness, however this cigar was the sort to punch you in the face whilst nursing it better. Despite being full bodied, it treated me well, burning very consistently until about halfway, which I blame on my lighting technique. The smoke was not insane
