Cohiba Club Cigarillos - Pack of 10

Sometimes it wasn’t convenient or I simply wasn’t in the mood for a one hour smoke so, after some research and based on past reviews, I chose this 10-15 minute smoke. I was disappointed with the first few cigars. A bit harsh and that special Cuban flavour was absent. Luckily, I had kept the package in my humidor from day one of opening. I noticed an improvement in flavour over the following days until the last few cigars were quite satisfying taste wise. It would appear true (as advised by a previous reviewer) that small cigars dry out to some degree and need some time in the humidor to regain their flavour. I found slow, gentle draws essential to avoiding low level bitterness. Based on the last few cigars in this pack I can say they satisfy the bill – a pleasant 15 minute smoke. I’ll be keeping future mini cigars in the humidor for at least a week before smoking.

The first smoke of my Charatan sampler pack definitely did not disappoint. This little cigar of the full bodied variety definitely packs a punch. Throughout its 25-30 minute life span I got tastes of dark wood. The tube and cigar definitely tick the classy look box too. These would make ideal gifts or wedding smokes.

Very pleased with my first and reasonably priced humidor. Arrived within days of placing the order. Extremely well packaged. Good solid construction and beautiful finish ( I chose the cherry varnish version). Regarding the hygrometer, the calibration adjustment screw mechanism is rather flimsy. After some fiddling I did managed to set the device to the correct reading and it seems to provide a reasonably accurate reading of humidity levels. The set up instructions are clear and easy to follow. I seasoned the humidor for a few days before use (as advised by a previous reviewer). Received a bonus gift cigar ring-gauge chart which is quite handy. Staff emailed me after delivery to check all was well. All was well. Service cannot be faulted.

C.Gars Ltd Smokers Mints - Bag of 25

Originally a free gift with an order (thank you C.Gars). Not tried one myself but my wife (not a smoker) helped herself to one which she thoroughly enjoyed. I’m assured it’s a two hour mint. Bought a bag for her delectation.

This is one of my favourite cheap/everyday cigars.
When you first light it you get a lovely aroma and a teaser of the taste to come. There's not a ton of smoke with this stick but there's enough to satisfy that afternoon appetite.
The second part of this stick is when the flavour really starts to come through. It's woody, toasty and fairly smooth.
The final third is my favourite part of this one. The flavours really start to take off, and I found there wasn't so much of the peppery motif often found in cigars of this price range.
Again, as I often say in my reviews, you must set your expectations in line with the price you pay. Although I'm fairly new to cigars I've already learned that you get what you pay for.
If you're looking for a nice, cheap cigar, give this one a try. It's got a lot of flavour and it won't leave an uncomfortable tang on your tongue afterwards.

This is a great little cigar (lasted 15-20 minutes), very well constructed with a draw on the somewhat looser side of the scale. Nice spices frame what is mostly a nutty or woody core of flavors, sometimes accompanied by a hint of anise or coffee. One to revisit, although there are lots of other Davidoffs to try.
