Camacho Connecticut Machitos Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Wednesday 03 August, 2016
Smoked one of these little fellas on my morning commute to the office this morning and I have to say I was not surprised at how well it smoked considering how good it looked! Very good looking cigar. As soon as I took the first puff my mouth was overtaken by spice and if I'm honest I didn't really taste much else but it was at different volumes. I would highly recommend this cigar to anyone who likes a short smoke with big flavours. Only reason it's not getting a 5/5 is I much prefer my cigars to be a bit creamier/ sweeter but non the less this was a lovely smoke.

Very smokey full cigar. I found it a little too "woody", but it lasts well, provides plenty of smoke, and gives a nice consistent draw. For less money though, you can pick up a Montecristo no4, and going head to head with the more well known Cubans it seems to fall short.

I really disliked this. Bitter, too woody and constantly went out. Maybe I'm missing something? I found it downright unpleasant. Gave up and tried the Torano Palmita. Far nicer.

Inka Secret Blend Red Bombaso Cigar - 1 Single

Having sat down in the garden and worked through this for 45 minutes last night I came to the conclusion that everybody who wonders why there is a premium for Cuban cigars should smoke one of these. Essentially it is a fine product and the only issue most people will have is cutting the end off (its 60 ring gauge!). Fortunately the cutter which was supplied with the order it (just) up to the task. Construction is excellent, holds its white ash very well and despite feeling well packed, has a good draw. The problem is that there is just no flavour to it whatsoever, smoked it down to the label and it sadly remained bland from start to finish. Shame really because in many ways this is a good cigar, just not one for me.

Padron No. 45 Family Reserve Maduro Cigar - 1 Single

Incredible! Smoked at least three of these now and they are easily my favourite cigar. Thick, creamy smoke from the first puff, great draw, even burn - took a good hour and twenty minutes and went nicely with a bottle of Faustino V red wine. Didn't want it to end, I literally smoked it until it burned my fingers! Happy 90th Birthday Mr Padron, keep up the good work!

La Invicta Honduran Petit Corona Cigar - 1 Single

Excellent value for money. Easy to light, even burn, plenty of smoke. Initially spicy slightly bitter but became mild with plenty of cigar flavour. Lasted about 40 minutes with just one relight. Pleasant relaxing smoke, would buy again.
