These are my favourite winter time pub cigars. Small enough to smoke outside and not get too cold. Sweet, woody, a little floral spice. They will never replace the davidoff 6000’s I like, but a good reminder.

BOLIVAR ROYAL CORONA TUBOS BOX CODE LRE JUL 09 - 9 years old at sampling. Please note, bought from a bricks and mortar in Lucerne, an EMS box could potentially be finer.
Starts very cool and surprisingly mild but has a wonderful rich aromatic room note. Very buttery, creamy smooth, sweet hay and pleasant vegetal notes. Half way through hits a sweet spot of subtle dried fruit, coffee, milk chocolate, remains creamy smooth. Last third slightly stronger classic medium Cuban aromatic tobacco. Overall, at 9 years this becomes a gorgeous and complex cigar but the trade off is the loss of spiciness and strength.

Beautiful flawless appearance and construction with a dark oily wrapper. Solid and well packed.Typical grassy light hay notes turning to chocolate, spices, coffee. A complex and very heady cigar that showed some class, but would benefit from some more ageing - hence 4*

A brilliant cigar for the money, medium smooth, very slightly sweet. Nothing complex but a lovely cool creamy smoke. A nice chunk in the hand. Whoever rolls these at the factory deserves a plaudit, always perfect construction, draw and burn.

Amazing value and an excellent quality cigar. Well constructed, well packed and firm, starts nutty and light, develops to a medium rich typical Nicaraguan flavour with dark chocolate notes. Slight spiciness at times. Subtle, smooth with occasional sweet notes that keep you interested. A fifty minute smoke. Packed in screw cap tubes but with no cedar lining and the cigars in cellophane - a new one on me. Are the plain cello ones the same quality, I wonder? Ignore the price, a really good cigar, burnt perfectly and left me very impressed.

A powerful cigar bursting with flavours. I would definitely recommend to the more experienced smoker. Strong dark coffee flavours mixed in with woody and earthy notes really make this cigar something else. This has definitely becoman one of my favourites.
