H. Upmann Half Corona Cigar - 1 Single

Decent short smoke if youÂ’re looking for something of Cuban origin and quality. ItÂ’s size meant it didnÂ’t have the time to develop any complex flavour profile but was still enjoyable. Went well with a double expresso.

Very well built and looks great. Came with good, easy to follow set-up instructions to get it up and running quickly. Also the now customary excellent service from C.gars as well meant I got it delivered next day. Only one minor issue - it could take a while to get this humidor filled to anywhere near capacity so I’ll now need to start working on resolving that straight away...but hey, there could be worse problems to have!

A pleasant tasting mild cigar that smokes cool till it burns your lips. Plenty of coco and earth without any pepper or spice. However there are better out there for less money, and like other reviews have said, its rolled way too tight. Id be happy to smoke one again if it was a gift but I wouldnt buy one.

Romeo Y Julieta never fail to produce a nice cigar, my first try of this mild ever so slight spice taste which burnt so well. A fairly quick and enjoyable smoke. Very nice.

Amazing taste - awful build. Good draw but very, very uneven. As I smoked, a distict seam began to form along a more loosely filled portion. But, at the same time the taste was wonderful: dark chocolate, stout, marshmallow and beetroot... and black cardamom. Sweet but very deep. 2nd third burning a very little more even and flavour getting a little more spicy. A little disappointed but mostly down to the build. The cap was so bad even a shallow cut with a very good cutter left it unraveling ... but the taste was very rich and distinct.
A real shame: I would buy more of these if the QC was better.
PS. Down to last third: getting very hard work just keeping it lit.
Overall: 4/10.
Sorry, because flavour is very much 7/10.

Whats not to like about these cigars? Mild but packed with character and gentle flavours that are reminiscent of warm summer days, fresh hey, fresh baked bread, brewing coffee and burnt caramel. Nothing intense, its all about hints and nuance. Texture is nice, draw is spot-on and if you have the time to enjoy the whole thing at once then there is well over an hours enjoyment in there. On the flip side, snip it in the middle and enjoy it twice; win - win! 😁
I am totally sold on the uniqueness of the Italian Nostrano cigars, good any time, any where.
