Vegas Robaina Famosos Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Wednesday 08 June, 2016
Reviewed by Mark Dickenson (May 2001) As a general rule, cigars with larger ring gauges tend to be fuller flavoured (there is normally more ligero and less volado in the blend), smoke more smoothly and slowly, and heat less fast than those with small ring gauges. They also tend to be better made than the smaller ones (which are the sizes recently qualified apprentices start on). Cigars with small ring gauges have little or no ligero in the blend. Large ring gauge cigars are almost always the preferred choice –if there is no hurry- of connoisseurs or experienced cigar smokers -'The Cigar Companion: The Connoisseur's Guide, 3rd Edition', Anwer Bati, Simon Chase'The Cigar Companion: The Connoisseur's Guide, 3rd Edition', Anwer Bati, Simon Chase As a Hermoso #4 the Vegas Robaina Famosos join the distinguished company of the H.Upmann Connoisseurs #1, Rey del Mundo Choix Supreme, Romeo Exhibition #4, and Saint Luis Rey Regios, some of my favourite smokes. Vasco Da Gama Capa de Oro Corona Tubed Cigar - 1 Single

Was looking for something new and interesting to try and came across this brilliant stick. On the initial light there was an instant taste of sweet, sweet chocolate and an intoxicating aroma of rich tobacco from the smoke (which was thick and plentiful, just the way I like it). Flavors came and went for the next 35 minutes, including spicy ceder notes and even a bit of marzipan. On top of that, she crackles like a bonfire, and glows just as bright to boot! These sticks come pre-cut and ready to smoke, very useful when you find yourself without a cutter, but in need of a cigar.

I don't smoke Vegas Robainas that often, but I really enjoyed this one. The flavours are very pronounced, with leather and spice dominating throughout. There are also occasional floral and chocolate notes that appear in the second third and remain in a subtle, pleasant way on the finish. Definitely worth a try! -Calum, Turmeaus Chester

tried these several times now, and over half the time the burn was so bad i couldn't even finish the cigar. a lovely cigar when it gets going but its far from cheap and when it fails to burn or draw over half the time its hard to justify the price.

Along with he Diplomaticos No.2, a great piramide that is often overlooked. Flavor and body start off medium but build quite strong by the 2nd half. Smoke these down to the nub and bring the Scotch! written by JM USA

I was on my honeymoon in Aruba this past September and across from my hotel The Allegro Resort was a small cigar shop in the plaza. I purchased 2 Vegas Robaina Unicos and smoked one of them on the beach. Let me tell you WOW! What flavour and very unique . A tad stronger than Monte but tremendous smoke ! This will be one of my next future buys! written by William Settemio USA
