Trinidad Reyes Cigar - 1 Single

Lovely little cigar. Got 2 of these as part of a sampler pack, most of which were Robusto, which I usually prefer. Im a weekend smoker but Im going to order more of these for midweek to wind down with a whisky at 9pm.
The burn was even. The draw was steady and smooth, unlike some others Ive had in this vitola, and, of course, Its Cuban.

Sadly I have to agree with previous reviewers. Extremely tight draw. Problematic from the start. Cant recommend.

Trinidad Reyes Cigar - 1 Single

This was my first Trinidad and was very much looking forward to trying the reyes but I found this cigar completely unsmokable. It was extremely tight on the draw and would not stay lit despite pursistance. Extremely disappointing.

Bought 3 of these, first one was great, lovely flavours, the other two were absolutely unsmokable, over packed with huge lumps in them, tried using a draw poker and rolling the knots between fingers as to loosen it. Outcome was still couldn’t get a draw off it, very disappointed. Instead of having a nice relaxing time I got very annoyed with it and angry I wasted nearly £20 on two cigars, yes you can expect 1 dud cigar once in a while, but two out of three is un acceptable. Very poor craftsmanship and quality control coming out of Cuba.

Unlike the previous reviewer I actually really enjoyed the sweet taste of this cigar. They do go beautifully with strong coffee or better yet double up on the sweetness and enjoy with a glass of rum or three.
Really good burn rate, slow and steady and didn’t loose any of the subtle flavour throughout. Although the end did become a little frayed when I left it to age a couple of months in my humidor but for the price this is a fantastic set of cigars.

Rich and slightly earthy with slight bitter coffee undertones. I had mine with a coffee stout and enjoyed thoroughly, definitely would buy this again.
