The Trident Military Cigars The Bren Robusto was an enjoyable cigar overall and one that I found to be particularly approachable. From the very first few puffs, this cigar offered a very mild and easy-going smoke, making it a good choice for anyone who prefers a more relaxed smoking experience. It never felt too strong or overpowering, and the mild profile allowed me to sit back and enjoy the cigar without being overwhelmed by heavy or intense flavours.
Throughout most of the smoke, The Bren Robusto remained pleasant and smooth. The flavours were subtle rather than overly complex, which suited the mild nature of the cigar well. I found it to be an easy cigar to smoke at a relaxed pace, and it would be especially suitable for someone who is newer to cigars or for an experienced smoker looking for something light and uncomplicated.
The main issue I experienced was with the construction. Around halfway through the cigar, the wrapper started to unravel. This was disappointing, as it did affect the overall experience slightly and required a bit more attention while smoking. Although

Tatuaje 20th Anniversary Grande Merveille — worth the occasion
A step up in every sense from my recent everyday smokes, and it earns the price. Tatuaje marks two decades of the partnership between Pete Johnson and José “Pepín” García, and the cigar is rolled at My Father in Estelí — a pedigree that shows in the construction alone.
First third: black pepper up front, tempered by cocoa, with a musty oak note underneath that I associate with the better Tatuaje blends. The pepper eases by the halfway mark and the cigar settles into leather, earth and a warm nuttiness — cashew rather than almond. The last third builds back up in body and richness without ever becoming aggressive, finishing on cocoa and a dry, savoury earthiness.
Medium to full, though it smokes with the poise of something lighter. That 46 ring gauge is the right call — the flavours stay concentrated in a way a fatter vitola would dilute. Burn was razor-straight, ash held in solid inch-plus stacks, and it ran about 75 minutes.
This is a cigar that rewards attention and a clear evening. Not one to hurry through

A mild smoke for me. A great size and enjoyable for an easy 45 minute smoke for someone not wanting a powerful flavour. The cigar can burn out within a few minutes left untended but lights again quickly. Enjoyable but for me I prefer a medium to full instead of this medium to light experience

Finally enjoyed this cigar I had on my list for a long time. Beautiful small heavy hitter. Slow draw in my single experience but not frustrating. Certainly recommended as a true cuban experience

What a great little cigar!
Excellent construction with an effortless draw and generous smoke production throughout. Flavours (in my opinion) centred on cedar and creamy smoke, gradually developing greater richness as the cigar progressed without ever becoming overpowering. One relight required but that was purely down to user distraction! Refined, balanced and thoroughly relaxing, this was an elegant Cuban that rewarded slow smoking (just over 50 minutes to the nub for me) and earned an immediate place among my regulars.
