First time trying anything from Trident Military Cigars, went with these due to the advertising statement of standing up to harsh conditions and only being a 20ish minute smoke.

Wrapper is Mexican Maduro, deepest dark chocolate in colour and an absolute oil slick, so I've no doubt it'll perform flawlessly in the winter.

Cut with a guillotine the draw is perfect with massive amounts of thick, cool white smoke, perfect burn, no corrections needed and ash holds for around 1/2 inch or so, quite impressive.

Flavour profile is robust with lots of bittersweet dark chocolate, dry cacao powder, roasted pecan, walnut and coffee, finish has more coffee, a touch of leather and lots of cedar with a nice touch of pepper and a surprising sweet note.

Strength is medium low, body is a good medium full, really satisfying despite a short smoke time. Well worth going straight for the tin of 5...which also looks pretty cool to be honest.
