Padron 1964 Anniversary Series Torpedo Natural Cigar - Box of 20
Date Added: Monday 29 April, 2019
Good cigars, but practically no resistance on the draw whatsoever - despite being very careful to only snip off the bare minimum from the cap - like sucking through an empty straw. I noticed these cigars have a very messy bunching at the foot full of large gaps and have a very lightweight feel in the hand, as if under-filled. Burned well however, with some lovely flavours. It reminded me in some ways of a good Sancho Panza Belicosos, only more complexity and richness from the second third on. Started very mild - woody, a little cocoa and sweet cream, but from the opening the peppery spice (especially through the nose) was quite aggressive for such a soft bodied cigar, slightly unbalanced in that respect. Developed to a solid medium body with some manure and light earthiness. A little saltiness and mild leather notes coming in in the back third along with a faint papery dryness and a little bitterness that lingered on the very short, dry finish. Finish was dry, woody and nutty. Certainly nice cigars but there are many better ones for such a high price.

Punch Petit Coronations Tubed Cigar - 1 Single

I cut the end off and tried a dry draw and it was too tight, I cut some more off and still to snug. I then toased it and got it burning, the first few draws were tasteless. Near the end of the first 3rd it was a funny taste. Into the 2nd 3rd I knew it was not going to be good. In the last 3rd I could taste cream and a bit of black pepper. But it only was for about 5 draws. I was so disappointed, and it was a £ 10.50 Cuban, I will never recommend it

Por Larranaga Petit Coronas Cigar - Cabinet of 50

Perfect cigar to start the day, sweet vanilla, honey, cacoa and white pepper at the end of the cigar, just a great cigar, not for nothing it's the oldest Habano brand still on the market.

Punch Petit Coronations Tubed Cigar - 1 Single

This cigar was included in a sampler I bought and unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. Maybe I was just unlucky and usually they are fine but mine had such a tight draw it was almost impossible to smoke. I did what I could to try and loosen the draw but couldnt really get any flavours and gave up after the second third. A big let down but again I might have just been unlucky.
