Mitchellero Peru Novellini Cigar - 1 Single

Picked this up as a £10 special from C.Gars, which is fitting given the Mitchellero line is Mitchell Orchant’s own house brand. At 4” x 60 it’s a stubby, almost comically thick little thing, and I went in expecting a quick, forgettable smoke. It turned out to be neither. The Peru line is handmade in Nicaragua from a blend of Nicaraguan and Peruvian long-filler, and that Peruvian component does something genuinely interesting to the profile. The wrapper is a dark, oily natural leaf with decent tooth. Cold draw gave up raisin and a bit of barnyard. Construction was spot on — no soft spots, and while a 60 ring gauge can draw loose, this one had just enough resistance. The first third opens with cocoa and a coffee-grounds bitterness in the good sense, with black pepper on the retrohale that settles after ten minutes. The middle third is where it earns its keep: cedar comes forward, the pepper recedes, and a leathery, faintly sweet core sits underneath. Really good value for money and a nice flavour. Easy to smoke and enjoy because of how well constructed this was so I didnt have to keep an eye on it at all nor relight it at any point. Well worth buying

Nice and easy to have an enjoyable smoke with this and a great way to spend 35-40 minutes enjoying yourself of an evening. Good smoke and a nice mild to medium flavour to enjoy. Final third was a nice pepper flavour

Really well constructed which burned very nicely and had a good amount of smoke without being acrid for those around me. Great size for a relaxing hour or so to enjoy it as well and great value for money

Well put together and great value. Its the perfect size to be for an every day smoker and takes a good 30-35 minutes if you dont have longer. Burned really well and held the ash solidly. Some excellent milder flavours from this co pared to what I have tried previously.

Very convenient size and shape for me. As a novice this was a decent starting point for me and it lit and burned consistently and beautifully constructed. The final third introduced a leathery note that I enjoyed.
