Montecristo Double Edmundo Cigar - 1 Single

Just layed this cigar to rest and it certainly didn't disappoint, great construction, about 1 hour smoke, medium leathery earthy taste, would defiantly get this cigar again.

Montecristo Open Regata Cigar - 1 Single

This was a really enjoyable cigar. Good size for the money, lasted around 50 minutes. It burned well and had a smooth, mild woody taste.

My Father Flor De Las Antillas - Robusto Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 05 February, 2016
Great start, creamy, nutty and sweet with that distinct Nicaraguan taste. Half way it got bitter, the draw was very loose and I think it caused the cigar to burn too hot. I bit down on the head to restrict the airflow which helped keep the flavour. It was pleasant but nothing really special. Would I buy another? No, for me non Cubans are always missing that tangy cuban taste, and without it, a cigar just doesn't satisfy me the same way. For £12/13 you can get diplomaticos and bolivar lonsdales, bolivar Royal corona, Ramon specially selected, Trinidad coloniales, Vegas robaina familiares, the list goes on... So to summarise, nice, but not nice enough to choose it over Cubans in the same price range. If you are bored of Cubans and want something different, it's worth a try.

Montecristo No. 5 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 01 February, 2016
Decent 35-40 mins smoke. Consistent and most of the time even burn. However I found it too strong for my taste. Leathery and spicy, tasted a bit like dark chocolate paired with a tawny port. Unfortunately the draw was tight, especially the last inch or so. Because of that became a bit hot and harsh. I will not buy again as I prefer milder cigars but if go past the tight draw it makes a good smoke.

Montecristo Petit Tubos Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 21 August, 2015
The world famous Montecristo Petit Tubos. At first sight the tube is more impressive than the actual cigar. Probably due to it's brown and rather drab looking cigar label. Looking at the cigar I did not feel there was anything to write home about, other than its typical grassy/barn yard smell and it being a well made cigar. Once lit, the story changes. On first impression I am hit with pepper and old leather, with very little trace of the initial barn yard smell I noticed prior to lighting. The draw seems to be very good but the burn is a little thick and somewhat temperamental to start. Half way through everything starts to even out, becoming a little more complex and full bodied while taking on a very obvious nutty flavour, yet still retaining the leathery notes which has now amalgamated with a very subtle peppermint freshness on the tip of the tongue. All in all a very nice cigar, and much more complex than you would initially expect, reminding me of Hennnessy XO.

Quite smooth early doors progressing into a nice spicy kick at the end. Not a bad little smoke at all!
