La Invicta Nicaraguan Robusto Tubed Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 02 April, 2021
Tried this for the first time. Rather disappointed given the good reviews I read. Tight draw and burned unevenly, in fact it went out midway. Taste-wise I found it rather bland for 2/3 of the cigar although it did improve in the final leg. Well constructed and a great size for a Robusto. I have two left in my humidor but I dont I will be re-ordering this..

I am a novice cigar smoker, that only recently got into smoking cigars. I will these cigars are extremely enjoyable, nice smooth draw and a slightly creamy smoke. I would recommend lighting this cigar with a match instead of a lighter to preserve the flavour. All in all i will be purchasing more of these

Not over awed by this. It burnt really well but flavour wise there’s nothing really there. Very mild 20min smoke.

La Flor Dominicana Andalusian Bull Cigar - 1 Single

Nice looking cigar, presentation and wrapper very enticing. I found it flavorwise surprisingly muted and mild at the beginning, creamy, with a hint of sweetness and nothing particularly exciting going on… very slow burn probably due to LFDs cigars sometimes having a thick binder. 2nd third is very similar to the first, but by the last third the intensity ramps up quite a bit and the strength gets more into the typical LFD territory. Strong. Construction, burn and draw were spot on with only a few minor touch ups required to keep things even. Only smoked one of these bad boys, may need to try another to appreciate it fully. Maybe my expectations as cigar of the year 2016 warped my experience?

Lit nicely, pretty tight draw but nice flavour, developing dark chocolaty taste about halfway down, quite spicy in the final third. Had to relight after first third, but maybe I smoke too slow, or maybe this was a very tightly rolled example. The draw eased up a little after a quick massage near the band. Burned evenly enough all the way down, ash didnt hold on very long though. Seems decent for the price as I got 45 minutes out of it (as stated above Im a slow smoker though and this seemed a tight example) Much prefer this to the Villager export box pressed cigars which come in at a similar price. I would gladly pay the extra 30p a stick for these. Will be ordering more as a cheap midweek smoke. Service from CGars was excellent, ordered Sat night, got here Tues morning..... Just wish Id have held off until Sunday to order, then I could have got quadruple points for Valentines Day!

I once spent £7 on the Henri Wintermans- Corona Sumatra. I wouldn’t do that again, having purchased this for the same price. It’s just that I found it to be fantastic. 9 out or 10. Reminded me of Montecristo number 5, only slightly less sweet and a little spicier. Chocolate, Almonds, latte, leather, white pepper, vegetables and dry wood. I kept in my humidor to ensure perfect condition before enjoying 40 minutes to slow down and appreciate it. Strong. Harmonious aromas. Perfect draw, one inch ash. Nice robust smooth wrapper. Just buy it and take some time alone to see if it’s for your palate.
