H. Upmann Half Corona Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 10 July, 2018
I had to get this after reading all the positive reviews, but this cigar is definitely not for me. The build quality was great and the cigar itself was very attractive. It lit and burned well also. However, the taste was very dry and bitter, and it definitely didnt feel like a light cigar. My living room stank of this not-so-pleasant smell for 3-4 days when normally the smell clears within 48 hours. The draw was far too easy for me, like sucking through a straw. Im no cigar expert but this is one of my least favourite cigars by far.

Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2 Cigar - 1 Single

Truly an amazing cigar! Without a shed of doubt in the top 5 robustos in the world, due to its consistency alone. I’ve smoked hundreds of these so take it from me it’s a classic. Great flavours of cream, milk chocolate with a some sweet apple and just a hint of cinnamon. It really is a tasty stick. The burn has been even in the majority I’ve had. Great with coffee and great with a single malt also. It’s that versatile. Flavour tends to die out in some cases in the final third but it isn’t unpleasant as you tend to get that sort of nice Cuban tobacco taste. But as a whole it’s a great smoke.

A very nice cigar, it changes flavours with the smoking time. Creamy, chocolate taste at first, it gets spicier halfway through the burn. Quite smooth at first. Even burn, beautiful flavours.

This is the first cigar I have smoked, never thought I would like one as I hate smoking cigarettes but I thought it was worth a try at some point. Anyway this cigar was fantastic, the taste was really nice although I wouldnt know how to describe it really, I suppose like sweet wood. The smoke was so smooth it was just like warm air. Really enjoyable experience I will buy a tin of 5 soon to enjoy on special occasions only! Thanks for the great cigar Cgars! and for the free cutter like I asked! ;)

Henri Wintermans Tubed Coronas Deluxe Sumatra Cigar - 1 Single

Easy light, even burn and nice draw. Thats it. Cheap looking nasty wrapper with tonnes of veins and knots in it. Its a cheap smoke for a reason. After one third it tasted like a damp ashtray. Full of tarry flavours and absolutely zero subtlety. I didnt get much further down it because simply put it was horrible. After I put it out I opened it up out of curiosity and I wasnt shocked. Yes its short fill tobacco but thats no excuse for it to look like left over leaves after an autumn sweep up. Considering the other smokes available for a few quid more there really isnt any other reason to buy this other than you cant get to a decent tobacconist or wait on delivery. Save your money ladies and gents as youd be better off wrapping guinea pig bedding in your fiver and smoking that than buying this monstrosity! Chris

Henri Wintermans Half Corona - Pack of 5 cigars
Date Added: Thursday 26 April, 2018
First off an admission, Im a new cigar smoker. Ive been smoking a pipe for the past 18 months but never really felt at home with it. The bad smokes outweighed the good by some margin. Ive tried cigars before but due to limits on my personal finances theyve all been at the bottom of the budget ladder. Small, harsh and very hot would best describe them. Then someone gifted me some quality Cuban and New World cigars and I was hooked. Had a kind of where have you been all my life moment. I knew I was a convert but the budget restrictions remained so I had to look for what I could afford. After some research I first tried a Wintermans Corona Sumatra from my local Asda and was pleasantly surprised. Thought it wouldnt hurt to give these a go. Can only say that to my newbie palate they are very acceptable indeed. Low price, good draw, tightly packed, and only really get too hot in the last quarter, and Ive even got around that by employing one of my pipes. Slip the butt in and continue with a very pleasant smoke down to the nub! Sorry of that offends you experienced cigar smoker
