Davidoff Winston Churchill The Late Hour Robusto Cigar - 1 Singl
Date Added: Thursday 13 August, 2020
This was a very nice cigar, Ive had it in my humidor for a year and was really looking forward to smoking it. I wasnt disappointed. It starts off with a lovely spicy flavour, which develops into a very rich sweet nutty flavour, with aromas of dark chocolate. The cigar starts to mellow out in third number 2, with the sweet flavours nicely complimented by a peppery spiciness. It was a well constructed cigar, very smooth wrapper with minimal veining. Upon lighting, and all the way through, I got bags of smoke, and it held its ash for about an inch before dropping off. The burn was pretty even all the way down, although I did have to do some minor touching up a couple of times. My only gripe with this was that the flavour tailed off a bit in the last third and the smoke got a bit hot. On the whole an extremely nice cigar.

Great light flavour and a good size if time is not on your side. I bought this to get an idea of the davidoff flavour before committing to purchasing its bigger brothers. I am sold and shall definitely be back for more.

Coming to the end of the first third as I type. This little pocket rocket doesnt play any games. Spicy and robust flavour. Bit more of a kick than I tend to go for but by no means is it disappointing me. Delicious aftertaste.

My first Davidoff cigar ever, the only thing I didn’t like was I haven’t tried this cigar sooner! What a little dream this is. All the thing I’ve read about this brand are try for this entry level cigar, extremely well constructed with everything you’d expect from such a prominent producer. I will be making a big purchase on these and they will be a Staple if my much loved humidor!

1. Appearance & Construction. Cigar looked lovely. Beautiful dark brown wrapper, slightly veiny but smooth to touch. Label looked real classy. Just a small visible imperfections as there was a hole in the wrapper below the label about 1.5cm above the cap. 13/15. 2. Flavor & Aroma. There is a strong earthy, leathery flavor with hints of spice. Gradually developing into a more spicy flavor as the smoke progressed. A spicy-ness that lingered on your palette but in a nice way. Flavours were well balanced and didnt get bitter at any point. Gotta give the Orchant selection its dues they seem to be able to balance strength and flavor. Did feel that the flavor was missing something not sure what but regardless tasted beautiful. 23/25. 3. Smoking Characteristics. Cutting and lighting came easy with this cigar. There was however a small issue of the wrapper staring to unravel but caused no issue with the smoke quality just more if a little annoyance. Think this may be due to the little hole in the wrapper. Cigar burnt unevenly and required a few touch ups here and the
