Chinchalero Novillo Cigar - 1 Single

i will start by saying this is a really nice looking cigar and for the first two thirds and about 30 minutes of smoking I was really enjoying it then bang the outer leaf split and that was that the taste went from mild to bitter and I had to leave it. That said I will probably get some more in case it was just a duff or more likely something I had done wrong as until then I thought I had found that elusive cigar I was looking for ( cheap, nice taste and looks good ) .

Not a bad smoke lasted about 45 mins with even burn all the way to the end, not overpowering in taste but still enjoyable. Not bad for a cigar that's cheaper than the pint I drank it with.

I must have had a bad roll with my first experience of charatan. After cutting, three large cracks appeared that ran up the length of the cigar to the band. The wrapper also started peeling off even though it had not been cut above the cap. The draw on the cigar was very poor and the flavour very one dimensional, most probably due to the damage. It did appear to be very tightly wrapped and the cracks almost "pinged" open after cutting. Would not buy again after this experience.

Charatan Panatella Cigar - 1 Single

This is described as 'full flavoured' and yes it was full of subtle (and no harsh) flavour, a very nice smooth smoke that lasted 60 minutes. The ash held well dropping around every 15mins. The burn was fairly consistent, with a couple of adjustments needed throughout the smoke. Will definitely consider these again on a future order. Have given it a 5 as it is very good for the price.

Cohiba Siglo I Cigar - 1 Single

Somewhat disappointed with this cigar. I had built it up a little I suppose based on the price and brand name. A moderately tight draw just south of unsmokable.
No real taste to speak of although it improved very slightly in the second half. Weak pallid smoke and and uneven, lopsided burn. Pairing with Thatchers Summer Haze cider helped a little and a swig after each draw seemed to help out. Way overpriced for the experience but I'm sure I'll try something else from Cohiba in the near future.

Chinchalero Chicos Cigar - Box of 25

I bought 25 of these based on the reviews I read. I have smoked 4 so far and I am sad to say that I am very disappointed. In each case the draw has been extremely tight and it was very difficult to keep them lit. This was despite the rather "spongy" construction. They also burn extremely hot which leads to a somewhat acrid taste. At just over £2 each they should represent good value, but they are very poor compared to the likes of, say, a Henri Wintermann half corona. I will not buy them again.
