Stalla Dhu Islay - 70cl 40%
Date Added: Sunday 19 July, 2020
Found this a little too punchy on the peat for my taste however, in an attempt to be objective: a good mix of all the classic Islay traits with the later notes lingering pleasantly in the mouth for a good length of time. A whisky to be taken slowly! Would recommend and buy for friends who like Islay Whiskies.

Sancho Panza Non Plus Cigar - 1 Single

Smelled great and looked the part. Couldnt get any drag out of it, cut it several times to salvage anything and I still failed. Its a shame, but for a cuban youd expect quality.

I really enjoyed this stick. Received as part of my monthly subscription it wouldn’t necessarily be one I’d have picked up. If I want a Habanos I usually go for one of the bigger (more expensive) brands. This was a pleasant surprise - so much so I’ll be ordering a few more to pop in the humidor. It was a little tight on the drawn, but nothing too tasking. Actually enjoyed the 45 minutes it took to get it finished. Really enjoyable, and for the price you can’t beat it.

Sazerac 6 Year Old Straight Rye Whiskey - 45% 70cl
Date Added: Monday 22 June, 2020
Firstly I’m a cognac drinker , reason being years ago I tried whiskies and really didn’t like them I tried all sorts but they just didn’t do anything for me , so tried remy Martin vsop and loved it . Few years later thought I’d give whisky another go and I saw this rye and heard good things . No still not for me it’s to harsh and really just tastes of alcohol to me with a weird taste of herbs or something

Sancho Panza Non Plus Cigar - 1 Single

What should have been a leisurely 30 minute smoke turned into an hour and 15 minutes, but it was a huge struggle and was like sucking an ice cube through a straw! Perhaps the torcedor who constructed it had a lot of spare tobacco leaves on the table to use up by the end of the day? A further cut of the cap about half way through managed to open things up a little and there were some nice flavours evident, but it is certainly not a cigar I would consider buying again for the above reason (this one happened to be in the the June subscription box).
