Romeo y Julieta No. 3 Tubed Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 14 August, 2018
My first RyJ.....and Im really not impressed, possibly the hardest draw Ive ever experienced and Im struggling to give any positive feedback as Im finding it hard to get ANY smoke out of it. I had punched the end and thought it was that,so tried a straightforward cut across the cap,but its still like trying to suck a golf ball through a straw!! The only saving grace is that I didnt spend my own money on it...but I wont be any rush rush g to try any other ryjs after this...Tempted to put it out and light up another one, Cubans best my a**e, give me new world any day!

Regius Media Coronas - Half Corona - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 09 August, 2018
Having always been a fan of the Half Corona, perfect for the sneaky quick herf, often opting for the many circa £9 to £10 Half Coronas available. When these were added to the Regius range I was more than surprised. Excellent build and burn with just enough spice to please. Lets not forget these little stixs are less than a fiver.... Would recommend anyone just to try them for what they are.. A good value well built stick, even better kept in the Humi for a while to open up. Good job I say..

Rattrays 7 Reserve Pipe Tobacco 50g Tin (Discontinued)
Date Added: Tuesday 07 August, 2018
My first impression was 'this is a bit thin' - no doubt because my preference is for strong, full bodied tobaccos. However, I am now on my third bowl of this all day tobacco and am beginning to get the hang of it. The flavours are subtle and interesting and it is such a mild smoke that I could easily smoke it all day long. Of course three bowls are not really enough for a definitive critique as I have before found that tobaccos I first found rather bland had become firm favourites by the end of the tin. I think this might well be one of them. I could certainly recommend this to a beginner.

Ramon Allones Specially Selected Cigar - Box of 25
Date Added: Tuesday 17 July, 2018
I have been smoking this cigar for 20 years. I have never had such a poor box before. Impossible to cut cleanly even from a humidor with sharp scissors. Variable build - some tight some loose. Rather hot tasting with little of the depth and richness I associste with this cigar. Go for the Partagas D instead.

Romeo y Julieta No. 2 Tubed Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 08 July, 2018
The final cigar from my Jack Frost sampler, but not my first ever RyJ. Smoked this in two halves. The first half I smoked left me a bit bored and disappointed, I couldn’t really identify any flavours, was mostly just a smooth, creamy smoke. Not unpleasant by any means, just somewhat uneventful. However the second half, the following day, was a delight :S really rich, spicy and woody... I’ve smoked a dozen or so Cubans now and, so far, maybe it’s just me but, unless it’s an astonishing cigar, the spicy, earthy flavours never kick in until about halfway down the cigar. This one was typical of that along with the Jose L Piedra Cazadores cigar which also left me cold until the halfway mark, and then turned beautiful! I’ve never aged a cigar as I’m yet to purchase a humidor so perhaps with age flavours develop and present immediately on lighting up the cigar, I don’t know... This was a good cigar but I will sample other Cuban brands before returning to RyJ, I think they’re maybe a touch over-hyped. I find Montecristo’s richer in flavour and complexity.
