OMG!!! I bought this after tempting myself to consider taking Masters of Havana Cigars over on the Hunters & Frankau website. After wondering for what seemed like an age, i couldnt find any where that you could apply or sign up to a course. A bit frustrated I wandered through the section staring those who had already taken it (the list was short). What stood out as odd was the number of those who in their bio recommended this cigar as one of their personal favourites. ok.... let see what the fuss is about. yes..yes.. we can all get a dodgy cuban where the draw sucks or its a touch uneven, it doesnt mean to write off the whole brand. I lucked out on this one. The draw was slightly easy (my fav), the initial smoke was creamy and light cocoa. As I carried on the flavours didnt change much but they did intensify, coffee notes and a savoury sweetness. As I got close to the end a quicker draw pulled out some of the chilli pepper spice, but a slower draw revealed a gentler side. Stupidly good from start to finish. i now have to buy more to lay down and see if 2 to 5 years does a

Had this with a white coffee, mildly sweetened. Good construction that burned pretty much evenly. Started off peppery and leathery in the first quarter, giving way to a woody/hay flavour but still maintaining a slight peppery undertone. Became a much more mild smoke towards the halfway mark, very smooth and creamy. Pepper kicked back in during the 3rd quarter but still incredibly smooth with woody flavours still coming through. Final quarter, past the band, smooth leather, wood, and pepper all coming together in a fantastic crescendo. Recommended to any smoker of light cigars who want to explore a good Cuban.

What on Earth is it with this brand? I’ve had two No.3’s now and a Cazadores and all three have been completely plugged, with hardly any smoke output. Just binned my latest No.3 after ten minutes out of sheer frustration.

A little gem. When drinking wine, I regard them as either full blown reds, or quaffing wines...wines that are hugely enjoyable, but do not cost the earth. To my mind this cigar is in the quaffing category, delivers on every level, an even burn, easy draw and a mixture of smooth flavours that keep on giving, right to the end...and all of this at a fantastic price. Will ensure there are always some in my humidor.
