Romeo y Julieta Churchill Tubed Cigar - Box of 25
Date Added: Saturday 10 November, 2007
Recently came back to these after discovering some very old ones in a tobacconists where they had NO idea of the age - or the price. ;-))))))) Interestingly, mine had the Prince of Wales bands, not the standard gold one. I`m pretty puzzled about that, but maybe someone can explain to me if RyJ tubo Churchills ever had the old "Large Romeo y Julieta" band on them ? All I can say is that these tubos VASTLY improve if they`re left for several months in a humidor. Remember. Tubos are made more for the mass market, not for connoiseurs, and this is not designed to be a stogie which offends members of the public who buy these for birthdays and weddings. For a light cigar, these are a very pleasant, subtle smoke but the occaisional dry tubo can make for an unpleasant experience. Draw can be more than a little on the tight side, making the cigar taste even lighter - did someone say "Silk Cut" ? I`d certainly not pass down an RyJ Churchill if one was offered around, and the few I have in my humi will be replaced when smoked. For what they are - an inoffensive, light flavoured subtle cigar

Very mild, tarred up before half-way resulting in a hard draw with little smoke, and had to cut again. Untaxing. written by Andy Mellor, GBR
