Kendal Sliced Black Twist Pipe Tobacco (Loose)
Date Added: Thursday 23 July, 2026
Kendal Black Twist is my favourite tobacco and has been so for a number of years. I have yet to try Brown Twist but that is next on my list. This rope tobacco is one that you will either love or hate. The problem for me is that every other tobacco now seems less, because there is nothing else quite like it. Pure old fashioned tobacco that has been around in this form for a hundred years or so. I think that the Brown Twist will of course be along the same lines, but a tad stronger. This is the first time that I’ve tried the ready sliced. It is the same tobacco, just on a more convenient form. However strangely the flavour profile is slightly different! It could be that the pre sliced has a lower moisture content? Very easy to pack and light. Every pipe smoker should try this at least once. You could love it. Buy a sample pack and see for yourself.

Kristoff GC Signature Series Robusto Cigar - 1 Single

The Kristoff GC Signature Series Robusto was very enjoyable. Impeccably wrapped and finished. Lovely burn and burn time. Brilliant flavour. I received this cigar as part of the mystery cigar promotion and I am not disappointed!

Kendal Extra S Brown Pigtail Twist Pipe Tobacco (Loose)
Date Added: Saturday 18 July, 2026
Once you've spent quite a while making this actually packable and dry enough to take a light it's a very pleasant full slow burning smoke. The added sweetness is neither here nor there and simply just takes any roughness off. There's not much in depth of flavour but a good head spinner with the nicotine punching through. I'm sure others may take more from this than I can but beyond a thick smoke, there's not much more to take from it. I would have to say it's sadly not worth the prep.

Kendal Black Irish XXX Pipe Tobacco (Loose)
Date Added: Monday 06 July, 2026
Best cut with a cigar cutter into thin slices then rubbed out. This is a definite full on smoke. I found it like a slightly burnt steak served on a leather motorcycle seat. Smoked cool, and stayed lid even when packed a touch wet. The room note will most likely leave you with very few friends, and those that remain are likely induct you into a 1% outlaw motorcycle gang. Of course that could all simply be a dream from the very strong nicotine that will knock you out if you overdo it. Lovely stuff.

Kendal KBC (Formerly Black Cherry) Pipe Tobacco 50g (Tin)
Date Added: Saturday 04 July, 2026
A surprising aroma makes itself known when this tin is opened, far from expected, however one I would keep coming back to. This tobacco shines, for me, after a fair drying time. The aromatics perfectly compliment the tobacco and it has actually swiftly become a favourite of mine. The smell both in the tin and lit in a pipe has been burned in my memory, for good or for bad! I think it's one of those lovely tobaccos/blends that everybody must try at least once. Easy going, forgiving, and tasteful.

Kristoff GC Signature Series Robusto Cigar - 1 Single

Nice flavour, easy to remove pigtail. Kept going out, unreliable burn. Had to adjust or relight about 4 times. Wouldn't buy again.
