Independencia 1898 Half Corona Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 24 April, 2026
Very very mild to my admittedly uneducated palette, just a subtle nutty taste from start to finish but very pleasant. The cap fell off mine but with a bit of gentle handling I was able to smoke it down to the nub in a round 30mins, it burnt lovely and even leaving a very attractive ash with just a little rotation For me I think I enjoy something a little bit more challenging to the palette but I can well imagine that early on the morning (maybe while on holiday) will flat white this would be a lovely little cigar to enjoy and that's how I plan to enjoy the one I have left in the humidor. On a morning with a coffee it deserves a five-star but on a evening maybe try something a little more complex.

A great surprise cigar, I will definitely be ordering more for the money. Honestly this over delivers for the spend and was flavoursome throughout. Level burn and lasted about 30mins. Get one for a lovey afternoon smoke and you won’t be disappointed.

Took a punt on these in the 10 + 2 flash sale and as I've only got 2 left it seems to have been a good call. The ones I've smoked have all burned evenly, given enough smoke to please and have a nice taste, for me at least!!! They hold ash well and last a reasonable amount of time which is always a bonus in my mind!!!

Independencia 1898 Churchill - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 18 April, 2026
Not the best cigar I've had but not the worst. Pleasant pre light smell and draw. I found the construction leaving a little to be desired and the burn needed correcting on several occasions. Initially had a hint of spice and a hint of pepper that soon died off to a mellow flavour. I wont buy a Churchill again but I will try one of the coronas next time. OK for a daily herf

This cigar is a bit of a mixed bag now. Construction is sometimes a bit hit and miss and rustic. That said, it packs a bit of a punch and has a decent 'cedar' taste. I found a nice, easy draw and easy burn. I bought these on a deal and am satisfied with that, so if you want something at the cheaper end of the market and are not desperately fussy, then get them when on offer. There are far worse.

Poorly constructed, no smoke production and I could barely get a pull on it as it was so tight. Had no choice to throw it away, very dissapointed in this one. Also tried to cut the cap mutiple times with no changes to the draw.
