I am a newbie Lady pipe smoker, so still quite a novice. This tobacco is sublime. It is an excellent morning smoke, not to strong and with a very pleasant room note
I found that even after smoking it the room note is so lovely that its like enjoying the tobacco all over again. Ladies, if like me you are tempted to switch to smoking pipes this is one tobacco I would highly recommend. Of course this would also be a wonderful morning smoke for Gentlemen too.

I was a pipe smoker of Erinmore Mixture for a straight 15 years, so I believe I can comment on the brand with confidence! Today's Erinmore Mixture is NOT the blend it used to be 5-7 years ago, so if you are a returning Erinmore smoker, do not expect the same tobacco. It does not have that "secret blend known only to one person per generation" (a very dodgy way to keep the recipe I would have thought), that gave the blend that distinctive "herby" flavour. That was in the Cavendish part of the blend. Disappointing, but fear not! Today's Erinmore is made from top quality tobaccos & more finely ribbon cut. The result is a smoke of pure tobacco flavour & although some say they can taste fruity overtones I think that is rather fanciful. This tobacco is quality, pure, unadulterated bacca! A shame that the original blend is gone, but this is very enjoyable nonetheless.

On the nose we can firstly find aromas of caramel apples and corn followed by butterscotch. The palate again has more corn notes along with rye. Developing a peppery finish with vanilla notes. This is a great whiskey for people who love a classic bourbon!!

This toatally hit the spot for me, deep caramel notes and a lovely tang on the finish, will be buy again!

With this delicious release from Eagle Rare you can definitely notice the wood influence due to the 10 year maturation in oak barrels. Mellow flavour profile with a good sweetness and slightly oaky notes. This is an excellent value for money especially for anyone that prefers a more approachable and sweeter bourbon.
