De Olifant Corona Cigar - Box of 10
by Nigel
Very poor quality, these cigars disintegrate as you smoke them and you are left with a mouth full of bits of tobacco. Are they old stock? They used to be a very good corona cigar, the ones recently supplied have not been of an acceptable quality.

Ive smoked several now. They are well put together: well packed, not loose or over right. They burn consistently with good ash. They not too strong at the start but strengthen as you smoke them down. Personally, Ive found them a pleasurable smoke. Theyre the best Ive bought at this price point that I smoke at, at the moment. I bought a box on the strength of the positive reviews and my fellow customers didnt steer me wrong. If youre looking for a good smoke under £5 a smoke you cannot go wrong with these imho. Buy enjoy review.

Cannot fault Dunbarton tobacco and trust with this cigar.
Beautiful flavours and one of the best new world cigars out there in my opinion.
Hoping to try more of their range of cigars after experiencing these.
Buy with confidence they do not disappoint.

Ok, so theres only so picky you can be about a 30 min. Cigar for so little money.
The sweetened cap is a nice touch, and anyone who likes liquorice papers will be at home.
The first 3rd was like smoking thin air - really no flavour and hardly any smoke - this one seemed to be packed pretty loosely.
By half way, itd started to pick up, and the last third was pleasant enough. Its still very mild and difficult to pick up any real notes.
For me, its worth spending more and sacrificing the larger size/time for a pack of r and j Puritos.

Well constructed, superbly made, with an excellent draw - but unlikely to buy again. The first third was simply unenjoyable, with an ashy taste that kicked in far too fast, despite the second third smoothing out slightly.
I quit about halfway in - there is simply no joy in smoking half a cigar his big waiting for it to become a pleasure. And the smell and taste linger far too long. I had it after dinner. I shouldnt still be tasting it before lunch the next day, especially after I clean my teeth twice.
Pity - particularly given how well made it clearly is.

Arrived well-packed with a small Boveda sachet in the box. Contents did feel a bit dry so I put the cigars into a Boveda 69% bag. Over 3 weeks Ive now smoked half the contents and they are definitely getting better, burning slower and evenly with improving flavour. I didnt expect miracles at the price but with some humidification they make a very acceptable everyday smoke. Fast draws will cause heat and harshness so dont do it. Ill be happy to buy them again.
